    Default Photo software - help!

I have camedia software for my digital cam and for the life of me i cannot figure out how to blur faces, so when i am taking photos of people and they dont want their face shown, they wind up with big black circles
anyone know of a good software program that will allow me to add a blurr instead of a big black hole????
    thanks

I use photoshop. It is an amzing photo editing program. Very powerful with a bit of a learning curve for the more advanced features.

I've used Paint Shop Pro for years. I absolutely LOVE the program. There is so much you can do with it.

I highly recommend picking up a copy of that. They have version 8.0, which I also have, but my favorite version is 7.04.

    Photoshop is also very good.

All the above are good suggestions.

Photoshop Elements is a good learning program that allows you to do things and then later if you get more serious you can upgrade to Photoshop.

i use photoshop. i actually have an older version but I have so many filters... it does take some time to learn, but its so useable.

heres a pic of me i photoshoped. all i did was crop, desatureate most of it, made the lips a bit darker, and changed the rose from red to blue.

for just a basic blur in ps is simple. click and hold on the select tool (looks like a doted line in a shape) then select the circle shape. hold down the ctrl button and click and drag from the middle of the face. when you have your selection go to filters --> blur --> then pick a blur type, there is gaussian blur, regular blur, blur more. or you could pick a diffrent filter like wave, swirl, clouds. anything. you can also layer filters. that always makes a neat effect.
