    Default Overs or Unders?

Among those of you who have had their breast augmented, who has them over the muscle and who has them under? What were your recovery times?

I'm looking to eventually have mine done (i'm a B now and only want to go to a C) and am leaning towards unders but i'd love whatever input I can get on the subject.

    Thanks in advance!

teardrop unders here. I won't lie, recovery was hell. More painful than I anticipated. Doc gave me the go ahead to go back to work at 3 weeks but I was too sore. Waited til 4 weeks, banged my boob on the pole, it hurt so bad I took another week off.

My augementation is subpectoral. Originally I was told a while back when I got my boobs done that under the muscle would be alot more natural looking yet more of a painful recovery. That ended up being true for me. Really its just personal preference as to over or under. For my first BA it took a good two weeks for me to get back to work and I was still somewhat sore. It took months for the swelling to go down and for them to drop. I got a really natural looking boob job where as my pockets extend under my arms, I always wear a bra though for suport for I have a rather large size implant.
I say go for subpectoral, but thats due to my beautiful results and because that happens to be the procedure I chose. Its all up to you really, each plastic surgeon does BAs a little different.

I'm happy with mine but I really miss the look of a tight, high, fresh boob job.

Mine are under the muscle. They are quite perky....u can see them in the booby pick thread.
Although that method is more painful, for me at least , it was worth it.
I do find, however, that over the muscle looks more natural , especially if there is enough skin to work with.

My implants are over the muscle but under the fascia. The fascia keeps them from getting all saggy like regular over the muscle implants. By day two I was out shopping and only taking extra strength tylenol for the occaisional pain.

My surgery was so incredibly easy, it's unreal. I'm thinking about going back in October (booby birthday) to get silicone....

I'll try to take a photo so that you can see them. They look very natural........or so I'm told

I just got my BA on May 24th. I got smooth, round, saline 270 overfilled to 330ccs under the muscle and went from an A to C. I really don't think recovery has been too bad but you should be prepared for a longer recovery if you choose under the muscle. The one thing i have strruggle with is sleeping. I am a die hard side sleeper and you're supposed to sleep on your back for a while. I have been sleeping on my side with a roll pillow since day 7 but it's taken some getting used to and it's still not normal just yet. it's worth it though!! Love my boobies.

I just got mine done May 5th. I got unders 350's filled to 400cc, smooth round medium profile, aereolar incision. My recovery went very well, but I was also stretched out beyond belief after breastfeeding 3 kids. I went from an A to a baby D. Have you had a consult with a ps yet? They will give you their opinion on overs/unders depending on how much breast tissue you have. I had to go with unders due to the lack of tissue, unless I wanted to risk major ripples Good luck

I have mine under the muscle. The recovery time is a little bit more than over the muscle, but for me, it really wasn't bad at all. I was back to work in 3 weeks, and going other places and feeling fine in just 5 or 6 days. I know you said you're a B and you only want to go to a C, but I REALLY recommend that you go a little bigger, to a D. SO MANY WOMEN, including myself, wished they went bigger and are now either very unhappy or had to get them done again ( another $7,000!). I just got mine 6 months ago ( I went from a B to D), and I'm doing them again in August to go to a large DD. Going up just one size isn't as much as you now think. SERIOUSLY CONSIDER going bigger, it's an awful feeling to go through the whole process (saving for the money, surgery, recovery) and then not be satisfied with the results. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!

Dallas here...over the muscle, both times. 1987 - 350cc's, 2000 - 470cc's. I have big pecks and my Doc thought this was the best way. Recovery time was nice. 1st time I was a little sore for a week. 2nd time, I had them redone on Friday and was running (well, with a lot of percocet) on Monday. Stretching that muscle I understand, is pretty painful. My Doc told me that the main reason they opt for under is to help reduce the chances of scar tissue building up around the implant which, in 17 years, I have never had a problem with.

I am going to las vegas in o undermonth to get my implants... im a little freaked out but I know it will be a great thing for me. I am undecided on over/under as well... I am pretty muscular and dont want my new implants to end up shifting or whatever. also my pecs are so developed I will probably have alot of pain if i go under dont know which one... I guess under is WAY more natural looking, right ???

Under the muscle, 280cc's. Recovery was pretty easy, though I had a really bad cramp in my left boob seven days after surgery. No bruising, went back to work after a month, though I felt ready after 2 weeks but didn't want to risk damage.

Doc went in through the areola and apparently I don't scar well, but I've been using the silicone scar pads and that help, but it hasn't even been a year yet.

I definitely DON'T miss the tight and high look. I was sooooo happy when they finally dropped.

Over is typically indicated for women that have had kids and bit more sagging, but if you have smaller boobs and haven't had kids yet, the doc will almost certainly insist on unders.

Mine are under the muscle. They are almost 8 years old now. They have a very natural look to them, not sure if I posted a boobie pic.
