Personally, I'm more of a cat person. If you get the right cat, sometimes they can be as loyal, if not more than a dog. Plus they are more independent!

I just got a new puppy (a little baby pug dog) and I was curious to see how many people prefer daogs or cats. Personally I would much rather have a dog because in my experience they are more loving, affectionate, and loyal than cats. How do you guys feel? ???
Did you know there is a relatively new breed of dog that is a cross between a pug and a beagle?? It's called a puggle : a very affectionate and intelligent dog.

    Cute as hell also:

I prefer cats although I like dogs too. Cats are great because you don't need a backyard for them or to leave work to walk them. Also in cities you have to pick up dog's poop. Cats also don't need to be washed since they keep themselves very clean. Some dogs can be smelly.
I have an orange and white Perisan cat now who I love so much. I'm embarassed to say this but I refer to her as my daughter. She's as affectionate as a dog although it may depend on the cat how affectionate they are. My cat greets me at the door every time I come home, sleeps on a pillow right next to my mom's head, and let's me turn her over on her back and rub her tummy while she purrs.

My previous cat a domestic shorthair was very loyal. My mom was in the backyard at our previous house putting the umbrilla in the lawn furniture and the dog that lives in the house behind us felt threatened and jumped over the fence with its teeth bared and coming toward my mom's neck. My mom screamed then she sees something with its fur puffed out huge go flying thorugh the air toward the dog. It was our cat being protective of my mom. Luckilly the man who owned the dog came out of his house at that time and called his dog (he heard my mom scream) so my cat wasn't hurt. This was my cat's Kiki's brave moment. She was a nice cat but she would ocassionally bite if petted too much.

Anyway I got my Perisan at an animal shelter and when I was there I talked to a volunteer there and was shocked and saddened to hear that many many animals are put to sleep all the time. I also found out that about 7 times as many cats than dogs come in and are put to sleep. Please get your animals spayed or neutred. Also id you want a pet you can find get friends at animal shelters.

OH MY GOD!!!!! Firstly, the name is adorable, and secondly look at his face. He looks so sweet!!!! I love it

Actually on tv, I saw a bunch of "new breeds". They say Mutts are the most popular kinds of dogs in the US so they are making them now. I saw the funniest dog ever.... A Labrador mixed with a poodle. A Labradoodle. LMAO

I have two mutts...chihuahua/yorkies. What could we call them?
    Chiyorkas? YorChis? lol

There's also a cross between a labrador and a poodle called a labradoodle!

I'm a cat person myself. My male cat "Cinco" follows me around the house like a dog.

I too volunteer at an animal shelter as previously stated in one of my last posts. OMG - for cryin out loud please please please ID your pet! Thats one of the most important things you can do for your animal!!! Yes animals are put to sleep in shelters if they arent claimed or adopted. You are right about the cats being put to sleep more often (at least in my neck of the woods). I would just like to give some advice: if you ever find an animal that is lost, adandoned, hurt, etc... please make sure you bring the animal to a no kill shelter (a shelter which does not put animals to sleep) or at least make that request to the animal patrol officer should they come to pick the animal up! Ive rescued a few animals and you never know... it might just by chance happen that you find an abandoned animal. OK this is my last "animal activism post"... sorry but it just really gets to me.

I like the original pug better. I think the puggle looks more like a beagle than a pug. IT doesnt have the same squooshy face.

I have dogs and an ex-cat. I say ex-cat because I gave her to my mom when her attitude got super funky, but thats how cats can be. I always had dogs and ferrets and hamsters growing up, but more dogs than anything else. I really don't have a preference, but I must admit riding with the dog in the convertible looking cute looks hotter than riding with the cat.

Well, I used to be just a dog person, but my now-cat used to be a stray and I couldn't resist her. Our relationship began when she started begging for food outside my house. So I fed her for over a year but left her outside(I used to have BAD cat allergies). After awhile though I took her to animal control to get tested for rabies and get all her shots and stuff and now she's my lil kitty katten. Turns out she used to be someone else's cat b/c she had already been spayed. But after 9 months of winning her over, she's a total indoor cat named Sabine(I got some GOOD allergy meds). She gets regular meals, a warm bed and the company of my little spoiled maltese, Destiny. Ha! how's that for a little half starved outdoor cat!
yes, I spoil the hell out of animals.....

Oh I found puggles two years ago and thought they were sooo cute!!!

My brother in law's dog is a doodle...dachsund poodle and one of my dogs is a Golden Eskimo (retreiver eskimo). I adopted her from a local place, then Giselle666's man fell in love with her so I started looking on the internet and sure enough, someone is breeding them now...and charging 350 bucks!!!
