You're gonna have to hustle for it, (or do more than just dancing), esspecially at those two clubs. Make sure you have your sheriff's card.

Also, effective next month, you'll have to have a business lincense also. The OG is a nice club as is Cheetahs, but like Doc was eluding to, they are a unique breed of club. Cheetahs on the weekends can be pretty insane and it certainly takes a certain type of dancer (with very thick skin) to work there. It's also a cash cow for those who know how to effectively work in such an environment. There are many great clubs where dancers are making money right now provided you know how to hustle. It depends on which day(s) you want to work and which shift though. I would suggest you check out Glitter Gulch downtown, Sapphires, or Spearmint Rhino if you like working in the larger clubs. I know the management really well in those clubs and they have been telling me they've been busy lately. If you like a medium size club, I'd suggest you go to Pleasures which is a great high-class club. Talk to Melinda and told her I sent you. She's a good friend of mine and she tells me all the time that they have more business in the club than girls. Many of the dancers there are students and can't work the later shifts when all the money comes in. It's really odd in a way, and yet that's the challenge they are facing right now so they are really looking for good dancers. If you need any other details or can provide some additional info as to what you are looking for, let me know.

    thank you.
i was planning on working day shifts - do you think that is better or worse for money making? im assuming there are less girls, and less absolutely perfect girls on days.

Day shifts in Vegas, or in most parts of the country (but not all) are considerably slower than night shifts. The best shift to work at about 90% of the clubs in Vegas is the 9PM - 3AM/4AM shift. Usually those that work days average is about 1/2 the income of those who work on the evening or late night shift. It's the same reason why you won't go to a dance club at 2 in the afternoon. It's not when people go out to party. Just the same way that night clubs won't be as busy on a Wednesday night as they would be on a Saturday night.

As for the looks of the girls, it doesn't matter. Many dancers fall into that trap that because they aren't a "10" where all the other girls are (or are in that person's perception) that they can't make money in a club. It's a myth. I can't tell you how many dancers who looked like Playmate of The Year who make $200 a night and those who look like the girl next door from Oklahoma who are making $1200 a night in the same club. Attitutde, personality, and the ability to close a sale are the most important parts of making money here or anywhere for that matter. I believe it was best selling author Robert Allen who said it best that in order to be successful in any business venture, you have to have only two skills be strong. The ability to gain rapport, and the ability to close a sale. If any one of those two are weak, you'll do okay, but not well. If any of those two are lacking, you won't do well at all.

yeah. thats exactly how i feel.
i am very intimidated by working nights with all the women who are 10's. im curvy and ive never gotten anything but compliments from customers, but im still not sure i can compete with the other perfectly thin, no body fat, augmented dancers.

plus there is an older thread on her about working nights at cheetahs and the girl who posted it said many nights there were so many girls she didnt make her tip out back, but she never had that problem on day shift and always made at least between $100 something and $500 something during days.

Coming from a girl who has worked all shifts in Cheetah's up until a day ago here is the deal.

I am not a negative person and you asked so I will give you the real scoop on Vegas. I have comments and info from LOTS of girls on the money, including myself.

I have total respect from Dancer Wealth and have attended his workshop and his techniques have helped me increse my earnings WITH the right type of clientele and dancer customer ratio. His selling techniques don't necessarily mean $500- $1000 nights. Other variables out of a dancers control come into play to make that much. His teachings can help you sell more than you would have without them. And in slow or poor clientele times that may mean selling 2 dances to a guy who would have bought 1 or making $100 off a guy who would have spent $40. Or making your payout back instead of losing it.

    $500-$700 a night AIN"T happening. Straight up!!

Number one, you still have too many dancers in Vegas.

Las Vegas Blvd and the casinos are still doing business and the strip shopping malls busy on weekends despite the heat.

But, the guys who are 35-65 years old and obviously white collar are coming to town with wives. kids or girlfriends and NOT going to stripclubs.

The strip has so many more attractions nowadays and some casinos even have dancers in them (not showgirls but dancers). The new stip attractions and the more family friendly attitudes are keeping more guys there instead of going to the clubs.

A costume store owner told me this change has slowed down adult businesses in Vegas over the last few years.

All the clubs are SLOW!! The biggest fanciest clubs are the slowest. Customers on the strip but not at the clubs.

56 girls were on the floor Saturday at 3 PM in Cheetah's. The business is down in half. Maybe 20 customers. Most of them cheapskates and wetbacks drinking beer. Two girls they hired that day walked out. We went 2-3 hours on morning shift with no customers. That has never happened.

    Quotes from dancers:
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Clubs all over town are slow. Believe it or not out of the big clubs Cheetah's and Spearmint Rhino are the best money. And the money sucks here too but not as bad as the others."

"I've been here since 3 and just made $80" .

"I haven't made my payout back."

" I was lucky to make $200 last night. And that was off one guy. "

"Nothing but young hustlers and partiers in here. These fuckers aren't buying dances."

Girls are staying around until 7 when they could leave at 5 because they made no money.

The daytime bartender told me he used to make $90,00 a year up until a year ago. Now it is way down. customers are getting asked to leave because they are not drinking.

Bar sales are down the managers were saying last week.

"Don't look at how much you make a day/night here in Vegas." Look at how much you make a week. I might make $300-$400 2 days/nights $100 another , and go several days and not get my payout back. That is reality here."

When I told some girls what I make on 6 day bookings in small towns in the Upper Midwest they said "we don't make that much here except for on a few good weeks."

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The customers on night shift in many of these clubs including Cheetah's and OG are young guys in groups.

Out of 60 guys in the clubs, 50 of them are in their 20's and in groups. And under these same conditions you may have 80 dancers on most nights.

Guys are getting put out every night. Pimp style guys are walking around trying to 'recruit".

The morning shifts as of last week saw business drop in half.

The older guys who spend money on dances are mostly locals and come in the mornings early afternoon hours.

You will 9 times out of 10 work with more dancers than customers.

I REPEAT, THE 35-65 YEAR OLD PROFESSIONAL OUT OF TOWN GUYS ARE RARE!!!!!!!! THEY ARE NOT COMING TO THE CLUBS!!!!

How are you going to even use selling skills to sell a guy who ha been approached by 30 girls already.

How much money are you going to make off of guys in their 20's in groups just hanging out (not bachelor parties)?

I rarely see any girls sell more than 1-2 dances to a guy. And with so many girls they go hours not selling. The clientele has a lot to do with that too.

To make $500-$700 in a night you NEED AN OLDER CLIENTELE and to be able to sit and chit chat with a guy, maybe spending an hour or so with him to make a good chunk.

These customers Vegas is getting now just want to hang out, or to get a dance or 2 and not even exchange names.

The smaller clubs are better for customer interaction.

Plus the vice is busting clubs now. Veags RARELY saw vice in clubs until several years ago.

Honestly if you work 5-6 days/nights a week look to make $700-$1300. THIS IS REALITY FOR MOST DANCERS IN VEGAS NOW!

NOT ENOUGH CUSTOMERS, THE RIGHT KINDS OF CUSTOMERS, AND TOO MANY DANCERS. YOU WILL NOT MAKE YOUR PAYOUT BACK EVERY TIME YOU WORK!

And the local guys don't like the new tourist clubs. SR and Cheetah's cater to locals as well as tourists and that is why they get a little more volume. the other clubs are DEAD during off hours but the strip isn't.

Just a heads up. So many girls have played up clubs to me in the past and when i go there it is slow so I vowed to ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH GOOD AND BAD about any place I have worked.

I went in the Library GC the other night and there were about 10 girls and 6 of them were with older customers dancing and sitting between dances. The ratio of dancers and older customers was better there than the big clubs. 60% of the dancers at those other clubs aren't selling dances at one time. I had a better feel about the CONSISTENCY of the money at LIBRARY which is a locals club than the bigger ones. Pleasures is probably more like that but some nights it will be DEAD aqnd you'll make no money.

Come November, January-mid March things will be better but still not as good as years past.

Strip clubs don't seem to be as popular a destination for the older customer as they were in the past in Vegas. This city's push topwards family and the strips trying to increase it's entertainment venue along with vice presence in the clubs has run out 1/2 of our money making customers.

Working in a Phoenix club anywhere that would hire you fast would probably make you the same or more than in Vegas now.

You could come to Vegas and spend money on the business license and sheriffs card if you don't already have one and work several days and not get it back.

This last week was VERY slow. Memorial day morning I found a couple guys whom my selling skills worked well on and Tuesday made $220 after payout mostly from one guy as the club was DEAD. I was tickled to death to have that $220, believe me Nights have been DEAD. I didn't make payout back on Saturday morning/day. I had built some guys who would come see me on Sat and they didn't even come in.

All the shifts were bad last week. Worse than the normal ups and downs. Just a heads up.

Vegas is primarily a wanna dance enviroment. When I was in in a year and a half ago I worked at crazy horse. Now we were packed very night and there was 200 girls but I did make 800-1000 a night but I orked my ass off.I must of asked 300 guys a night and it is one or two dances here and there. You amke your money off of volume in vegas, hardly anyone goes to the vip room for 400 an hour like most of the clubs I worked in and you work like 3 more hours per shift as well. 9-5 at crazy horse. But there is still money to be made if you are a major hustler I never ran out of guys to ask even with that amny girls .But you know any place that lets dancers do a 3 for 100 in vip, your going to be doing tons of dances to make your money because the clubs I work in its either an hour in vip or you dont go.I also found if you keep hitting up the young guys and you are persistent they will buy too.

I've worked in Vegas a few times, and found that I can make decent money, though I've made more in other places usually. I was there this past weekend ans made $1,400 last Saturday night, $1,100 from one guy right at the end of the night. I fought to close that sale, with a lot of help from my waitress, but I'm glad I found the guy. That amount is not the norm anymore.

I know girls who live and work in Vegas might be pissed to read this, but I don't go there for a windfall. I just like to go there for fun once in a while and work a little to pay for the trip. I just happened to have a lot of gravy this time around. Typically I make $500 a night at my club, not the $1K a night that's fabled, but still more than what I've been hearing happens a lot.

I'll still go back to work there once in a while because I have fun visiting and like the club I work in, but I can agree it's been a tough go for girls there full-time.
