    Default Saline vs. Silicone

    Hello,

I have Saline implants now, and I'm having another surgery in August to go bigger. I'm trying to decide between Saline and Silicone. I used to be a 34B, and I am a 34D now, and am going to a large DD. My breasts are very soft now, but my concern is that if I use Saline, since they will be alot bigger, they will lose the softness and be on the "harder side." I WOULD LOVE to hear from any of you who have very large Saline implants- do you like them, are they still soft? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much!

stick with the gel silcone sister. and don't go to big. i would be more concerned about the shape with your skin and stuff. stop getting those, they are bad. silcon ate at my friends boobs, she had to get a sugery to get them removed. it was ill.

    Daphned,

You said stick with the gel, but also that your friend had a bad experience with it. Were you talking about a different kind? Thanks for the post.

Dallas here...I have had both. My original set was done in 1987 and they were silicone (350cc). I had them replaced with saline in 2000. I have my silicone sacs and they were still intact. My ex and I used to play bean toss with them. I don't believe all they hype about silicone at all. I do believe that some people's bodies were just not meant to have foreign objects in them. I didn't think that silicone was available anymore unless you had them originally. Like, I could have had mine replaced with silicone but I chose to try saline. In all reality? I think I liked the silicone better. They were a little firmer. The saline are very floppy. If you can get silicone, go for it.

I've talked to allot of girls on the implant forum that say silicone gel is softer and lighter. If you've had saline implants for one year, you can qualify for the silicone study.

I've been thinking about going back and getting silicone just because they are supposed to feel more natural, they're lighter and there is no rippling. I don't have any rippling with my 350 overs but sometimes they just feel so heavy!

I have silicone gel. Ive never had saline, so I couldnt tell you the difference. I do love how mine feel .....LoL.
I was a 34 B, and now I am a 34 D at most. They look bigger because they are so "up there". Im wondering when they are going to drop actually. I had them done in June of 2000.
They are very soft and squishy. You can view them on the booby thread if you like.

I have saline, done back in August 2003. They've already dropped and look pretty natural, but then I went from a 34b to a full C. If I were to get them redone I think I'll go for the cohesive silicone gel implants. Silicone boobies seem to look and feel more natural than saline.

I definitely wont discredit the feel of silicone over saline. I am content with my saline implants and their feel--I havent felt silicone, so the silicone could feel more real then saline. Honestly, even if they did I wouldnt care at this point I dont want to go any larger so Im happy with my choice. The feel doesnt mean that much to me.
