Cardiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiio. And lots of it. Lots of water too, and a good diet.
Theres a lot of info on here about it. If you do a search you can figure out what your weakness are and set up a diet accordingly. My weakness is carbs and I blow up if I eat too many (the white carbs...like pizza, bread, white rice, or potatoes)

You're gonna have to lose fat before you are gonna see much muscle.
Good luck... PM me if you need any help.

Also, Honeygymgirl has been working out with great results. Maybe she can help you as well.

Also try to drink green tea during the day, which will speed up your metabolism. Careful though, as the tea has caffeine (don’t overdo it). I do love lifting weights (and you need some muscle in order to loose weight), but Pilate type exercise is excellent to ( dafenetely will make your muscle lean looking).
    Good luck.

One thing that always works for me is having structure to the diet.

Eat less and exercise more....nice in theory, but I need specifics.

I think Weight Watchers is really good. You know exactly what to eat and you are encouraged to exercise. I also found the weekly meetings very useful to keep me motivated to reach my goal.

I agree that running will get weight off and create lean muscles faster than almost any other exercise. It's like combining cardio and weight training for your lower body and torso into one step because of the strength it takes to propel the weight of your whole body into the air. Even my arms will look more toned when I run regularly.

Be sure to get good shoes, meant specifically for running, and start out slowly. Maybe run for five minutes, then walk for two or three, keep alternating like that and pace yourself. Build up distance and speed a little at a time.

It speeds up your metabolism so you can eat those carbs without them turning straight to sugar, which means fat. I can't run too much any more bc of probs with my knees but if you can handle it, it works VERY quickly.

OK this is just what I do. I eat fruits and veggies as snacks all day and then I have one major meal (usually dinner) like lasagna, cheeseburgers (homemade of course), etc. I do some excerise as soon as I wake up and right before go to bed - just the usual stuff like crutches, push-ups, leg lifts, etc. I try to take a 30 min walk once a week. I dont work out much cause I dance almost every night at work and just do some toning. I drink ALOT of water!!! Hope this helps. Good luck!!!!!!!

Cardio and weight training, cut out simple carbs and fatty foods. Pilates on equipment is expensive and mat pilates doesn't work as well. Ashtanga yoga is more vigorous and will give you a leaner look.

Also, don't weight yourself! Try to go more by how your clothes fit, since muscle weighs more than fat.

Here is my 2 cents lol!!!

What I do for my routine is this...

I work out about 6 days a week and I just started Jogging and I have to say this I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH! IT IS SUCH A STRESS RELIEVER!

Also, I eat every clean through out the week and on Saturdays or Sunday I eat one cheat meal whatever I want. Then I take a walk.

Since its so nice outside I am taking up swimming which two in one works on my tan and my whole body!

I agree you should go to weight watchers or just by their tv dinners and have that for a week just to train your tummy and protion control. Also I keep a daily journel on my food intake and my workouts. You might want to look into that!

Cardio, cardio, cardio, pilates, yoga, weight training.

Drink plenty of water, cut down/out the REFINED carbs, ditch the pop (if you stop drinking pop you will lose 20-30 pounds in one year without changing any other part of your diet...so lose the pop). Eat more frequently (breakfast, mid-meal snack, lunch, mid-meal snack, dinner, before bed snack).

Just get the book Body for life and Eating for Life...great programs combined together.

    Good luck!
