    Default Dancer and Waitress teamwork...

Hey everyone! I just accepted a waitress position in the DFW area in Texas. They asked me to dance... no no - I did that in my earlier years and I have been out of circulation in that area for about 6 years. I start day shift in the late morning. I am unfamiliar with the tipping out policies and procedures for waitresses and dancers in Texas. How can I help the dancers make money and how will they help me? I would like establish some good relationships but I am not sure how all that works. Any suggestions??? What is average tips for waitresses in the metroplex these days? The Manager said 200 per shift. It seems a little high for day shift.

HI i don't know about texas but one thing you can do to help a dancer make money is go around and ask custmers for a dollor for the girl on stage they usally do it and then you take it to the stage also the waitress at my club often ask the custmer if they would like to buy a drink for the lady. The dancer can help you by being poitle say please and thank you and helping you get a tip from the custmer. PLEASE DO NOT

also...if the guy seems interested iin the girl but unsure about whether to spend, you can help close the sale by telling him how pretty she is, how great her dances are, etc. talk to other waitresses and/or management about the best ways to do this.

I talk up the waitress and make sure they are taken care of as long as they do the same for me.

When I waitressed I had to tip out the bartender and that was it. I also learned that when I would let a girl know that a customer or group of customers had money, then they would tip me out after making their money.

It also helped me to be nice to the customers and to give them ones for change. Men have no problem spending ones, where they will handing a waitress a 5 or higher. When you take a credit card slip to the customer, be sure to point out the the tip line, and the total line. This makes them aware of being able to tip you on the credit card.

I gave a dancer ciggarettes all day because she lost her pack and I even got her tylenol and cokes all day. She never evn said thank you - no tip- nothing. was sad. Today I brought dancers to customers and they made good money - still no tip or thank you. I have to pay 20% of my tip to the bartender or at least 15.00 at the end of every shift. This really sucks when I only made $20.00. I am really sad about this - maybe I need to find another club.
