I have been travelling to Vegas once or twice a month for about six months to work at one of the larger, nicer clubs. When I got hired, I told the manager I was from out of state and had never worked in Vegas. He told me that I had to get the sheriff's card, but he definitely never said anything about the business license.
So, I did all the paperwork and I have worked there over a dozen times with no problems. However, just the other day I learned that management (supposedly) requires girls to have the business license as well to work at the club.
I'm moving and don't plan to continue working in Vegas, but will be passing through this weekend and would like to dance a few nights. Does anyone know what, if anything, might happen if I work there one more weekend w/o a license? I am not keen on spending the $100 if I don't have to, and it seems like maybe it doesn't matter if I've been working there all along with no problems.
If I do have to get the license, can anyone tell me what I need to take to the office, how long it takes, and any potential complications?
Thanks everyone.
