    Default Ladies

    Hi Ladies,

I have a question on protocal. I met a sweetheart up at Alex's near Boston a month or so ago. We had a great time and went back to see her again a couple of weeks later. I stopped by a couple of times in the next few weeks and she wasn't around. I didn't feel comfortable asking one of the other dancers if she was still around. She had said she was working 5 nights a week and told me her schedule so it seemed strange that she wasn't around. Is there an easy way to handle the situation of asking about another dancer without being inconsiderate to the dancer you are talking to?

    Thanks for any replies

If you feel uncomfortable asking the other dancers, why not try one of the doormen, or even a manager. They can easily ask the DJ if they are not sure. I cannot see why one of the other dancers would be upset with you asking them.

The front desk/cashier almost ALWAYS knows the schedule for dancers so this is the best place to inquire about someone in particular.

They usually know this for walk-in customers of a particular dancer so as people can skip paying/getting in if their favorite isn't on for the night.

On your specific situation, I wouldn't be too alarmed. Your favorite may be on vacation or simply called-in and didn't work that night. As business has been slow, and weather is becoming nicer in a lot of regions, even the steady/sure scheduled dancers have been skipping shifts a lot. It seems to be very common for June->August for a lot of locales.

Lastly, check to see if this club has a website. More and more stripclubs are putting up websites with dancer schedules on them.
It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.

Thanks everyone! These are some great suggestions. I'm going to stop in next week and I'll let you know how I make out. May all your customers be nice and very generous!

The club I go to wont tell you who is on shift if you call or ask at the door. Once you get inside the lineup is posted at the DJ booth. I doubt it is for customers, but it is the first stop I make.

Or can you call the club ahead of time? But, I really doubt that most dancers would get offended, everyone has their regulars.

Don't rely on calling to find out. My first job at a club was as a doorgirl and I was instructed to tell guys who called that whoever they were looking for was working just to get them in the door.

While I know this isnt your fault, I always think that is the tackiest thing that some clubs do. Yeah it may bring in the customers but after a few times they will get the hint and not come back.
Luckily both clubs I work in do not this, as it would piss off a lot of the guys who drive half an hour or more, etc...

Back to the question... I think you should just ask the girls or management. Theres nothing wrong with doing that.

I tried calling before and they said their policy is not to give out who is on shift. I'll try the ladies or mgmt next time I go. Thanks again for the info!

Just politely ask another dancer what days she normally works... I promise you the dancer will not be offended and more than happy to help you find her.

Guys ask me all the time where a certain dancer has been.. and I don't mind at all, another thing you can also do, is just call the club and ask if your fave is dancing that night...

You can ask with out slipping them a Abe or an Alex? The money I could have saved.....just by asking nicely. Just kidding.... I use to ask but I always got "yeah she will be here after a while want dance while you wait?" I just hang out and wait now. Like it was said before they tell you what you want to hear anyway.
