    Default Making change

Ladies, when you have to break a $20 or any large bills, Do you take out what is owed to you or give the whole amount back broken in smaller bills ? I've noticed many times if I ask a waitress to break a $20, They usually tip themselves and hand me back $19. Sort of annoying. I would have tipped anyways, probably even more than just a buck. Counting out the whole amount on the table is always good. It shows honesty. What do you ladies do ?

Easy solution AzAzn- take control of the situation and instruct them how much to give you back.

This goes for counter people, dancers, bartenders, cabbies, dancers.. or anyone making change.

Hand them a $20 and say, "Can you break this? If so, give me 18 back please." or similar.

You've gotten everything out of the way, there is no hand/hand back transfer, and you've somewhat shortened her counting process.
It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.

Well I had this problem at the club I frequented. Sadly no longer around. Buy a drink. The bartenders / waitresses gave the exact change. I would have to lecture them on how to give change to encourage the dancing and tipping. Mind you I had to lecture the bar to carry Johnny Walker Black too! Strangely, after all this I always got the scotch I wanted and I always left the bar to go for dances with a beautiflu lady on my arm. Or at least one in particular. And I know she is reading this...

Dancers on the other hand, I NEVER ask for change. One club I go to the dances are $15/song, and I aways give a $20. One time I got four dances from my favorite dancer and gave her a $50.
...but four dances at $15 per dance comes out to $60.

Yep the barmaids are known to take a small cut at one club i worked if you ask for change. I simply said, i need the whole amount back, and i won't forget you. I NEVER forgot the barmaids either for their help at the end of the night. Tip everyone who helps you out! It may seem this is the barmaids job, and is...However i have heard "i am out of what you need right now before." Tip her, always. BUT, don't let anyone just take what they think is deserved to them.

When a guy asks for change for a dance I usually ask how much he wants back. I don't mean to be rude (and please tell me if i am) but I kind of want him to realize that I do appriciate an extra tip.
