You guys, I want to go, but being as I am broker than Charles Manson, I am not real keen on paying $389 a week for the cheapest hotel around. I want to stay from June 26 through July 5.... and maybe longer if I like it, but that's another story. Anyone have any ideas on cheaper hotels or other lodging? Anyone wanna share a room?

Hey I also found this Klose In motel - think that's it. Anyway, it is probably a crackhouse or something. It is $195 a week, which is what extended stays are here lol. Does anyone know anything about this place?
I know notthing about them, but the challenge you face is PVD is too close to the Cape around 4th of July. That is prime time in a seasonal market. I saw a Boston chain place with an ad on their building the other day for $44 a night in a "not bad" suburban location (Woburn) but that would be an hour away each way. Unless its a dive I can't see getting much better around here. This area has high room rates, especially when you get close to the water/Cape.Originally Posted by erotictonic link=board=1;threadid=10264;start=msg124869#msg124 869 date=1087665143
You might PM Rhiannon for neighborhood reviews.

I agree with Monty on the rates. It's normally very pricey this time of year, especially in Providence. The other challenge that you face, that I already mentioned I think, Providence has a few good areas, and the rest is crap.. LOL.. I don't recommend staying in the immediate Providence area unless, like Melonie, you're familiar with the areas. There are tons of hotels along Airport Road, which is where TF Green Airport is located. The right time to check around for rates in that area would be.. yesterday.. LOL.. Seriously, you want to check the rates and book your room as soon as possible. They fill up quick around here.
The only one on that list that I've actually stayed at is the Crown Plaza Hotel, it's just down the street from me. Then again, it was named Holiday Inn at the Crossings when I stayed there (in '91.. some honeymoon night.. blah.. LOL). It's very nice though.
Just check that link, it has a ton of hotel listings, some have the rates listed, others you will have to call.
Good Luck, and if you need anymore help, I can pull out the ole trusty phone book.. LOL
~Hugs~

Yea, I checked already. The cheapest room in Providence is $55 a night, which really isn't bad for a few nights. I was looking more for a weekly rate. Except for the Klose In of course, which is stuck in the middle of the city, and seems shady. Anyway, if any girls want to share a room, let me know.
What kind of question is THAT?Originally Posted by erotictonic link=board=1;threadid=10264;start=msg124894#msg124 894 date=1087669717
You KNOW I'd hound ya!

That sounds like so much fun; too bad I'm in Wisconsin. Plus I'm working that weekend.Next year everyone should come to the Midwest, to Milwaukee or Chicago. (hint, hint)

Just to let everyone know....
I'm blowing off work to show up, I figure a chance to party with some of ya whackos is better than making money! So if I can make it,,,YOU ALL BETTER MAKE IT!

ET with regards to hotel. dont look in providence. look in warwick, RI for a hotel.

So the trip will just be a write off, cuz either way you're gonna have to pay to get there. We'll make sure you get time to talk to the club manager about feature bookingsOriginally Posted by Melonie link=board=1;threadid=10264;start=msg124800#msg124 800 date=1087649447

Hey Sandy...
Did you check out the Old Canteen? That place has excellent food, haven't been there in about a year, but the prices were reasonable.
You read my mind Mediterraneo is excellent. It is the only one on Fed Hill I have been to. The service was excellent also. However, some prices can challenge the $20/dinner:Originally Posted by Melonie link=board=1;threadid=10264;start=msg124826#msg124 826 date=1087655136

Okay - I am definitely going on Sunday. Saturday I am working on... and it loks good, because I am owed a shitload of favors at my bar (because I am freakin' nice and never say no when someone needs a shift covered). HOWEVER, it is not 100 percent gaurenteed, so my Saturday participation is still questionable.
Since I will be coming from New Jersey, I will be driving. If anyone needs to hitch a ride, I offer my services.
I have to say, I-95 throught Connecticut is quite lovely this time of year![]()
P.J. no need to kiss butt, Ill let ya take your bonjiovi lookin hair thru myil portion of hell. But only this once and only cuz the thought of Rhia and B tag-teaming me to kick my ass scares me more than the thought of sandy in leather pants.Originally Posted by Prester_John link=board=1;threadid=10264;start=msg125055#msg125 055 date=1087694771

It's OK. I think I get to go there with my company on the 21st. nyuk nyuk.
Well, here's one of those list sites results:

Capriccio's was a great place, but may be expensive. The Barnsider sucks. Maybe Adesso, Sakura, Gregg's is excellent dessert, but the food doesn't knock my socks off. In the mall are Napa Valley Grille was excellent as was Fire and Ice. Believe it or not, Dave and Buster's is excellent food(best fettucchine I have had although it was at one in Maryland). Ricottis? Just throwing these out.

Thanks sad![]()
PJ, you might PM Lexi and/or Trix about sharing the ride down. Maybe that will help motivate them to get off the maybe list and onto the definite list.
And Blade, um, perhaps you could help motivate PJs coworkers into covering his shifts? We'd appreciate it!![]()
LOL B.. I couldn't even see what was making the page so big..

Yup, agreed - I'd actually be money ahead if I just farted off the Florida gig and simply drive to Providence, because the short notice plane tickets will probably cost me more than I'll earn in modeling fees ! But the big deal of course is a chance to appear on the magazine cover and in their video, which can translate into lots of extra business at my website after the magazine and video come out.So the trip will just be a write off, cuz either way you're gonna have to pay to get there. We'll make sure you get time to talk to the club manager about feature bookings
I don't mean to be hedgy about this, but the last trip I made to Score's studio I really didn't know when they would be done with me until after I actually got there and after I was able to start working with the photographers and video director and other models to see how well (and how fast) we could work together. My real fear is that we may not finish everything by friday afternoon, such that walking out to make a flight to Providence before they have everything shot that they wanted will piss them off in the extreme. I guess this one is going to require "flying by the seat of my pants".
