Hello, it's Adina again, your friendly left-wing hooker. A friend gave me this little book last night called "Addicted to War." It's really a comic book, illustrating (literally!) America's history of militarism from the turn of the century right up to the present. I really enjoyed it, and I recommend it to anyone looking for some interesting reading. I strongly disagree with some of the author's assessments, particularly his analysis of WWII and the conflict in Bosnia, but I think he's spot on when it comes to the current administration (and other recent ones) being in the pocket of big business and how it's affecting (dictating?) our foreign policy, or lack thereof.
Here's the website:

I also posted a page from it.
In the immortal words of Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower said..."Beware of the military-industrial complex."
Cheers,
Adina
