OK here is another political thread LOL. There is so much debate over Bush and Kerry but I was wondering what you think about Ralph Nader running for president? Good? Bad? Spill your guts!

You think you know... but you have no idea!
BAD.
I'd love to be able to vote for him, because i like the greens and i like him, but he was the spoiler once.... why another run as the spoiler??
Personally, i'd make him attourney general. Hell the fanatical christian right got it's dream come true with ashcroft the evil one, why not us lefties.

Yes he did spoil the election between Bush and Gore and I believe it will be no different this time around unfortunately. However please list your reasons why you would or would not vote for him.
You think you know... but you have no idea!
Reason to vote for nader: He is, and has been, a thorn in the side of greedy corporations.
Also, he has been a champion for PRESERVING the environment (Note, preserving rather than saving).
When i grow up, it has to happen someday, i want to be Ralph Nader.
NADER ALL THE WAY BABY! As I said before he's just the thing we need in office, he ca turn our economy around for the better. Have any of you guys ever seen a broke Jew?! (note I am Jewish and therefore that comment cannot be considered racist)
Besides he's better than the lesser of 2 evils.

What did Barry Goldwater once say " Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice." Well in this case I think it is. Nader had his time in the sun and should fade away.

He will never win because he is the only one that continues to stick to his philosophy an principles.
The spoiler tag comes from a bunch of losers. It their candidate was so good, he would have had a better platform and won the Green votes.
Run baby run..Unfortunately, the Green party won't let him this year
Run baby run is right. It's not Nader's fault that Gore didn't win, it's Gore's fault that Gore didn't win.

I believe Nader isnt running as a green this time round but as an independent. I think it would be a good idea to have an independent in office for once. The only reason why I would not vote for him is because he favors legalizing marijana which to me is just a no no. No time to list all the reasons right now - gotta go to work. Happy posting!
You think you know... but you have no idea!
I voted for Nader in the last election. Since Texas is a no-question Republican state electorally, it did not affect Gore's loss. I am a huge proponent of a pluralist system. More parties (political and then some!!)

Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.
Nader has a purpose, I'm just not sure what it is.
He's a neo-Marxist running under the Green party banner.
He doesn't hurt the process if he actually injects something into the debate, but he's so bent on Marxist/socialist platform that there's no way anyone in this country could possibly take him seriously. No one on the national stage is more anti-capitalist, anti-business, anti-military, pro-union, pro-protectionism, anti-free trade, anti-globalization, anti-federalist, pro-federal mandate or pro-class warfare.
He should pick Michael Moore as his running mate...if he wasn't so busy trying to pass himself off as Canadian.
Nevertheless, he has some good ideas every once in a while--usually related to illegal immigration and campaign finance.
Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

I do find Nader to be interesting but I feel Kerry has a better shot. Both represent issues I feel strongly about such as healthcare, education, equal rights, womens issues and removing the tax break that I do not feel the upper-class economy needs or deserves. I think Nader would make an excellent choice for VP and a combination of Kerry/Nader would probably be a great asset to the next four years .
