Default laser hair removal- full body

has anyone done this? I'm so sick of shaving, bleaching, dealing with stubble and ingrown hairs- I want to get every inch of my body (except my head hair, eyebrows and lashes) lasered, including arms, cheeks (the little blonde hairs, you know on the side near the hairline), crack, everything.

Is this demented? Will I look like one of those hairless cats?? Is it safe? Is laser hair removal actually permanent, or will it all be back in 10 years?

    Thanks

I went for a consultation about laser hair removal and they told me I'd have to have several sessions (I think about a dozen) over a period of time to get all of the hair growth from the different cycles. I was cool with that, y'know I don't mind taking the time if I'll be over and done with it, but then the lady said I'd have to keep coming in every six months or so for "maitenance." I figure I do all that by waxing every month anyway for 10% of the price.
Hopefully I just went to a crap place, and there is still hope! I'm sick of shaving my legs!!!!

It definately sounds like something I would look into (even for myself). But I would also check around on prices and how permenant it would truly be. Please let us know what you find out. I know some places say you'd have to continue to come back every like, 6 months, but others just say you need several treatments and then you are hair-free.

I'm from BC too, and I actually know a guy who owns a lazer hair removal clinic in delta. I talked to him a fair bit about it and it can be permenant, it really depends on ther person. Sometimes it will last for like 5 or 6 years, then will slowly come back, but never like it grows naturally. It also takes quite a few treatments, not sure on the number, worth calling up the place and asking for them to give you some info.

I opted to laser off all of my hair too. It has been great! If you have the money then do it as soon as possible, since it takes quite a while to get rid of all the hair. I have been going a little over a year now, and my hair is growing in much thinner, and in patches in some areas. You have to always shave everything off before going to an apt. The bikini/butt hurts like hell!!! Still after a year, the other areas don't hurt as much now that I've gotten used to it. There is a chance of the hair growing back, but it is only like a few thin hairs here and there. It is a long process and like to go in 1 day for like 4 hours, but the technicians get mad, since I guess they don't like long appointments. Oh well, my money my way. Anyway, before they would let me go in every 6 weeks, but now, the clinics here in Chicago changed their policies due to growth cycles and you have to go about 8-12 weeks. Good luck. I love my results!

I don't think you'd be able to do the fine hairs on your cheeks that you were talking about, as the laser is attracted to dark pigment. You will have the best results if you have dark hair and pale skin - also important, most places tell you definitely NOT to tan, so take that into consideration.

They say that 3 sessions will kill about 70% of the hair. Lasering was pretty painful for me; the lady told me it would feel like someone was snapping a big rubber band on my skin, and she wasn't kidding.

I did go for a consultation, but was really turned off by the technician's high-pressure sales approach. When I mentioned full-body, I swear I saw dollar signs pop up in her eyes!!!

I figure it would probably run me a good 6-8 grand, which just doesn't seem worth it upon further though...lol shaving's not THAT bad!!!
