    Default Indiv.false lash

Hey all. Anyone ever use the indiv. false lashes. Yrs. ago, I used the reg long strip lashes, but find I'm now too clumsy, whatever to use them. I've been eyeing (no pun intended) those indiv. ones. Difficulty in using? Comments, please, thank you.

Whirlerz- I used to be a competitive dancer for about 16/17 years and I had to use all types of eyelashes. The single individual lashes tend to look more natural and a whole lot better i think. They are just as easy to to on, if not easier, just use tweezers to put them. You don;t have to be exact with the placement of the single ones, a random pattern looks even better. Hope this helps!

I saw a tip in a magazine recently that said to put 10 (TEN!) coats of mascara on and you can get the look of false eyelashes. The trick is to put the newer coats on while it's still slightly wet.

I haven't tried this, but I've done three coats on top of a coat of lash primer and I get a really good effect.

Wow Emily, I don't think I could get 10 coats of mascara on without them clumping all together and looking awful! I'm not sure if I could even do 3! What kind of mascara do you use?!?

that's what I thought too, which is why I didn't go 10 coats.

I used Definicils by Lancome, but look for anything that says volumizing or plumping. I used a primer because I got a freebie of it with a Clinique purchase. It's pretty cool...just a whitish coat you put on first to make your lashes longer.

10 coats of mascara? Egads.. I can't even imagine what that must look like.. I use falsies.. the entire lash... sometimes I'm just too lazy though and I will just go with my natural lashes.. (I have pretty long ones anyways- but I like to use the falsies because I don't have to put any mascara on top and it saves my lashes).

I used to use the Lancome brand as well, its an awesome mascara, I have jumped on the MAC bandwagon, but I am not all that impressed with the mascara, so as soon as this tube I have from them runs out, I will be going back to Lancome- at least for the Mascara.

I am going to try (when I use up my many other tubes) blinc. (blinc.com) It's supposed to be water-resistant, but it can be removed by rubbing the lashes w/fingers.

I love false lashes. I've used the individual lashes, and they aren't difficult to put on, but they do take a lot longer...and to take em off as well.

I as well read a tip. To buy the darkest lashes you can, before putting them on cut them at an angle, with the longest lashes out at the ends of the eyes, and the shortest lashes cut near your inside eyes.

Looks natural, while still being very dark and as long as you wish.

I made a thread about indiv lashes a lil while ago....

I recently bought the permanant indiv lashes.... i love em. They come off when your natural lahes shed, so you only have to re-apply them every 3-4 weeks.. they are also water proof, so you can wear them in the shower or while swimming etc and they wont budge.

Did you have that procedure done where they insert the hairs into the upper lash line? If so, how was the procedure? I am really not sure how else it would have been done (glue would eventually come off...and swimming would definitely make them fall). Sooooo...details, sweetie!!

L'oreal Voluminus is the best ever ever ever....lol. But seriously, all you need is 2 coats, and if you buy the one that has the primer on the opposite side, it works even better. Its inexpensive, and works better than the higher quality name brands. ( at least for me )

But I think the idea of individual false eyelashes may give a more natural appearance....who makes the best ones?

VG they are indv lashes which are applied with glue. Once they are on and the glue has dried, they ain't coming off! The Semi-permanent lashes last as long as your natural lashes (3-4 weeks) unless you remove them with the indiv eyelash remover.

The semi-permanant eyelashesi have are by Eylure.... im not sure if the sell them in the states but you can go to the website http://www.originaladditions.com/oa_index.htm http://www.originaladditions.com/eyl...ual_lashes.htm.

They don't affect your natural lashes, either, right?

Sometimes that stuff clogs up the pores and your natural lashes diminish even more...

    Thanks for the info, Seraya!!

    I had them 2 times....ugh for a photoshoot
Not like i needed them, but after those lashes i really was bald!
And they were really uncomfortable after a week of wearing.
    But looked great.
Try castor oil for 2 weeks, your own eyelashes will grow, they will get darker too.
