Default Nothing too twangy.. but.. regular wants jeans skit

I have a regular who has this fantasy of seeing a girl on stage in 501's and a white tank top... and frankly, I think he's on to something.. so, I dug out my old 501's cut the legs open a bit to accomodate for my shoes, and now I'm at a loss on songs...

I found a song by Keith Urban called Blue Jeans, which has enough of a beat (without any steel guitar or twang to it) that will most definately work, but am trying to find two more songs (preferrably in the pop/rock category) to go with this.

I went in for a practice run during a slow day shift to see if I could actually maneuever on stage in 501's- amazingly enough it wasn't too hard and have figured out a way to get out of the damn things very gracefully..

so, any suggestions? NO, I don't want Honky Tonk Woman by the Stones- but would LOVE a remake of that song if it has been remade- its doesn't have enough guts to it (but still a good song mind you.. )

Again, thanks to all who give me suggestions..

Have I told you all lately how much I love this forum?

    Want a nasty country song?

Check out "Cum stains on the pillow" i think the artist is David Allen Coe. Don't know if it's what you're looking for, but hey! I contributed!

Can't be country at all, I found a remake of "sweet home alabama" by Jewel, but I don't really like it...

I'm lost on this one.. probably won't do it now if I can't find something by tomorrow.

I'm assuming the jeans are perhaps fitted... one good sone is "she's got legs". Kid rock did a remake and I think it's a sexy song.

Hmmm- let's see what else.... I don't know - no country at all??

I'll have to think about this alittle more.

Our club will not allow any country at all- just mainstream stuff.

I found a remake of "Keep your hands to yourself" by the calling, and I also thought about Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Pride and Joy" but one is blues, and one is not, and I hate to mix music genre's like that. So........

    Keith Urban's- Blue Jeans
The Callings- Keep your hands to yourself

    and?????

they had a really kewl jean ad on tv, and the song they played was and "20th century boy" by T REX/ marc bolan he also has another popular song thats used on commercials "get it on". It's old music but I think it's hot.

    lol ok you asked!!!!!!!
Forever in blue jeans by neil diamond.
    I know i just said neil diamond,sorry.

Just try it.If the guy is over 30,it will work well. Its mid tempo and a great starting song.Trust me,NOBODY uses it so it will be all yours!
wear a black thong under the jeans(swooooooon)
then go into blue on black, great bluesy sounding 2nd song.
then follow with the great suggestion of blue jean baby by david bowie.

sounds like a killer set that nobody is doing. It should wake the room up and have them take notice in the very least!

Hope you dont mind if i steal this idea for fri night.
neener neener i can play country!!!
Im gonna start with baby got her blue jeans on!!!!

    :::question for the world:::

I doubt that you'd dance to it really, but I thought I'd mention it cause it is so appropriate - In those Jeans by Ginuwine

Baby can I have what's up in those jeans
Don't get alarmed cause I don't mean no harm
But I love the way you
    wear those jeans
Levis, Prada, BabyPhat, I love them
Love the way you, wearing them I love them can
    Calvin, Iceberg,
    Sergio, I love them
Trying to get inside of those

You could do try the new Kenny Chesney song featuring Uncle Kracker, its a popular song and its not to twangy

I have danced to Ginuwine's- In those Jeans and did very well on stage even though I was catering to an anti- r&B crowd

Default Re: UPDATE Nothing too twangy.. but.. reg wants jeans skit OMG!!!

What a night I had last night! I just have to update you all and thank all of you for all of your suggestions....

First off, I want to tell you guys which songs I chose for this awesome set...

After I spoke with my DJ at the club, we decided against "forever in blue jeans"- mainly because the crowd was younger (I burned four CD's for different crowds... )

So, this is what we went with:

    Blue Jeans on -Keith Urban
Blue on Black- Kenny Wayne Shepard - OHMIGAWD- Thank you MNM!!
    Blue Jean Baby- Elton John

I was worried about the slowness of Blue Jean Baby, but it was a great floor set...

    Now, I wore:

501 Jeans (I had a seamstress install velcro in the legs, so that they would pull apart)

    Black Tank Top

    Black G-String and bikini top

    and a black cowboy hat

I had everyone from college kids to old men at my rail and it was awesome.. I was selling dances left and right after the set, then when it was time for my next set, this one went over so well, I decided to just keep the mood going... so...

I put on my Mini Poodle skirt and little cropped top to match, my saddle shoe platforms and went out to:

Johnny B Goode- I don't know who remade this, but it isn't the chuck berry version
Great Balls of Fire- Jerry Lee Lewis
    Twist and SHout- The Beatles

I was busy all night long...

    Thanks again!

Blue Jeans by Ladytron. Very cute retro track that is fun to dance with. There are heaps of different mixes out there.

this may not be the type of song your club likes, but "Baby's got her blue jeans on" by Mel something-or-other might work
