If you're talking about yourself, you shouldnt have a problem getting the shifts you want...I remember your pics, and you are extremely prettty.![]()

Actually, I've heard from a lot of managers around town that they are having a difficult time finding good ethnic dancers lately.

Thank you honey, how sweet. I've actually added extensions and I lost weight so I'm down to 108 and a half. Wish me luck girls, I'm very nervous. Any suggestions on which clubs would be profitable at this time of yearOriginally Posted by FoxxeeBrown link=board=4;threadid=10947;start=msg136645#msg136 645 date=1089691568

Hey Blackbeauty havent heard from you in a while. Are you still at vips? Well when I went to vegas I worked at crazy horse(its owned by the same guy who owns vip, formerly crazy horse too ). I checked out ogs, club paradise and cheetas. Saphires and jaguars werent there when I was there. I would ahve to say work at club paradise or crazy horse. Club paradise is more like vips (air dances) but it wasnt as busy as crazy horse and I heard ogs is dirty. Well good luck.

Forgot to add. Checked out either girls of glitter gulch or spermint rhino cant remember which. It was nice too so add it to your list to chek out.

OG doesn't have shifts, but they hire in waves, so there is no guarantee of when you can get in there. you have to keep going back.
Spearmint Rhino is funny. I worked there several years ago and the manager who hired me wanted me on his nights but the weekend night manager only wanted Barbie looking breast enhanced white girls and would make me leave at 11:30. I was making money then too. I recommend going in there at night as a customer to size the club up business wise and observe the ethnic mix of dancers. Then if you don't see enough ethnic girls you can argue the point with them when you try top get hired.
Cheetah will hire you but night shift sucks, the morning hours from 6 until about 3 have the best clientele especially Thursday-Sundays. It's best to go in at night to get hired. Ski, the general manager works then and if he hires you you can work any shift. The nighttime housemom Lynn is really nice and the morning one is too. They collect the housefees when you come in. The afternoon housemom is a bitch.
Glitter Gulch is racially balanced and the girls have poor selling skills to say the least. It's a tourist club so weeknights could be iffy. Weekends are good and I see some money to be made there.
I would wait until Mid- October when the convention season starts back up and the temperature drops below 90. Then the clubowners will be more open to hire. In the heat of the summer there some of the big tourist clubs have tons of girls sitting around during the day and no customers. And on weeknights it is iffy too.
Most Vegas clubs have a pretty good ethnic mix except for Treasures and SR.
Crazy Horse is good. You work at VIP still, right? Just hit them in the fall. If you can't get on nights go for the 5AM 1 shift.
Cheetah and Crazy Horse Too are the only big clubs that do decent day business. And unlike other big cities where the business guys come in from 3-7, the after work hours of 3-7 don't have that great of a clientele, but the mornings and early afternoons are the times you get the older clientele. It's easier to sell the guys during the morning/early afternoons as you can sit down and talk with the guys which is not the norm at night.
Thanx a lot for the info. I'm thinking about going at the end of this week. Yes, I'm still at VIPS. I need to travel though.Originally Posted by Tina link=board=4;threadid=10947;start=msg137177#msg137 177 date=1089761788
You should have no problem and I wish you all the luck let us know which club you decide to work for.
Okay but now I'm thinking about New york too. Any advice on which one might have the highest earning potential at this time of the year?

Hmmm, I wonder why?Originally Posted by DancerWealth link=board=4;threadid=10947;start=msg136674#msg136 674 date=1089695143
For years many of the Vegas clubs turned away ethnic dancers, even the good ones. Now that the word seems to have gotten out is it any wonder they have trouble hiring them now? Blame it on alot of former managers who were prejudiced.

Just like in other cities around the country, in the 90's when the business was good, it was hard to get hired in Cheetah's.
Us women of color could go from club to club and shift manager to shift manager and be told "nope".
Once the new millenium and 9/11 hit and things slowed down, these same clubs who said "nope" all of a sudden have 25-30% of their dancers women of color.
We're a day late and a dollar short.
Wow, how sad that some people have such a limited standard of beauty. Could it be the rise of a few b;ack actresses and MTV's sudden wave of minority "in" people causing acceptance of minority beauty and culture.

That, and the big clubs out here are now so hurting for money that they are actually listening to what some of their customers want. I can't tell you how many times I've seen big spenders drop good money on ethnic girls in the Vegas clubs, and be disappointed that there weren't more of them. Girls that the clubs were reluctant to hire in the first place! What narrow minded thinking.Originally Posted by BlackBeauty link=board=4;threadid=10947;start=msg138130#msg138 130 date=1089906244
That is part of the reason that a club like Crazy Horse Too has such a good day and morning shift. For years the managers of these shifts were the only ones in town who would hire ethnic girls. While it was not the night shift, word soon got around town and guys were coming in to buy what they couldn't get elsewhere.
I didn't want to start a whole new thread because this topic is the exact question I will like to ask. I just want an update, I am planning to come out to Vegas this summer and wondering how black dancers are doing in Vegas in 09 so far. So, any information would be great.
By reading the different threads, (let me know if I am wrong) it seems the shift 3am--til however, is the less crowded and the shift most managers hired black women for. I prefer less crowded shifts anyway.
I know different managers have different feels, views, moods, time of day and may be asshole racists, etc. So, any suggestions on best part of the day to audition, best shifts, etc. Mmmm, let's just throw an image of myself. I have like an 32A bust size, (small boobs!) pretty toned, 100lbs. Long wavy brown and blonde hair. (From the other thread I posted long ago, I love the blonde) This is my first time in Vegas, so personality I would have to build myself up to be I guess, Vegas material. I would like to start on a slow shift if that is possible.
On another note, I also worked @ VIP's in 2004 for a short while. I don't know if my best friend still works there, (I haven't talked to her in a while) but she been there since I started. Anywho, is Bob still there? He was sweet.
