There's actually a great article on this. If you click on the articles button at the top of the page, you'll find one entitled (funnily enough) "Do you have what it takes?" If you have any questions after reading it, I'm sure anyone here will drop in their 2 cents on it.

The money is different? Does it have a picture of Mr. Moneybags on it? Or Ronald McDonald? You may be getting tipped by some tricksters...LOOK OUT!

I think she means more like non-existent.The clubs in S.D. suck monkey *ss.That's putting it politely. They are all old and run down severely. Not to mention that it's locals and military that make up the clientelle.

Compared to other places I'm sure S.D. DOES suck, but luckily for me, I haven't been doing it that long, and I plan to leave it behind me soon. Just doing it to pay some WWWAAAAYYYYY over due credit. Even though the money "sucks" to everyone else, I find the extra 300.00 I make every night to be very helpful. (but perhaps I only see it that way because dancing isn't my main source of income...)

It varies from dancer to dancer. To me, averaging $300/night would be great!

Some interesting replies....yes the money is different reminds of monopoly...one guy paid me w/ a "get out of jail free" card and the end of my dance. JK....thanks for the replies....UM i quit dancing for now found a regular job the kind where you get to where clothes...but I want to go back as extra income but i dont know where...I thought sacramento was slim pickings....here is not bad but then again the girls that do work and live here would probably say something else.... Im still shopping for a "good" club w/ low mileage <----- not a mileage girl. Hey centerfold where do you work at and do you like it? Do they take care of you or is it a deja vu chain? I heard they take alot of money?

$600 a night at the absolute worst is good.I've been in this business too long to make less than that.I'm also used to sitting on my butt making that kind of cash, not hustling half to death on my feet.Go to New Orleans if you want to experience real money.

    Emotionally?

Being able to see it for what it is, a job.

Being able to see customers for what they are, customers.

Knowing who you are and not letting how much you make a night or what customers say (good or bad) have anything to do with it.

On the money issue: I say you've got to draw the line somewhere and be making enough money to make it worth putting on those shoes and getting naked! Of course that amount is up to you, but I would say at least $300 a night! It is an emotionally taxing job and you've got to be compensated. Otherwise, don't worry about what it takes emotionally, find a new club!
