I would, but by now I'm sure 20 other people have.

I can say that if it's a mac....that's the problem.

Definitely message me dear!!, and let me know what your problems are! I'm fluent in both platforms (Mac/PC) and if I can't answer the question...I have many many skilled friends who will be able to.

In fact, I can almost guess what you are going to say what your problem is.

Welcome. I had wine with mine. Just installed XP professional on my new Dell with multithreading processor.

But when I downloaded the damn unlock code for the DVD software it doesn't work.

Oh well, off to see I, robot.

Have fun. If you need MS office software or anything else., PM me.

    Blah Sitri,
I also have recently installed Xp Pro...make sure you keep up with your windows updates and be careful with everything you do...this operating system has more holes in it than swiss cheese!!!...Although Microsoft has made some marginal improvements it is by far my least favorite OS.

Well Gynger... you've left all of us hanging on the big question now...

... what kind of tequila was it?
It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.

Well then you are damned lucky...Aesthetically speaking, XP is great...but unfortunately it is very unstable from a programming standpoint...I actually almost wished I had Windows 98 back...ahhhh screw it i'm probably going to crossover to Linux...it's just a matter of when. Being the multiple computer whore that I am, I love my new Imac, I run system 10 and it works beautifully...I don't have to worry about viruses etc because they just don't exist in the sheer volume that they do for PC's...but Apple sucks for gaming

The first thing you do is check your bank account. Make sure you have enough money to spend on a MAC. Then, unplug the tower, open the window and with a loud, forceful "HEAVE-HO!" toss the computer out. Be sure that it is in as many pieces as possible (sledgehammers work extremely well...office space style is best). Then, get in your car and go buy a Mac. I know that I will never again buy another IBM/Compaq/etc. And remember anything by MicroSoft is bad. LOL Hope you get your computer fixed...and hope you saved some tequila to share!!

LOL I like that idea Venus! When I get tired of my dell, I'll probably get a MAC. I had a Hateway before this computer, and I was dying to destroy it a-la-Office-Space, but I ended up pardoning it and finding it a new home with my old landlord. I didn't like the landlord, so I have no remorse for giving him a really crappy computer.. hahaha!

    Macs?

    People still use those?

Thought they went out with the abacus.

Sorry, I had a complete system crash again.. (I HATE SONY!) Its a Sony PC.. windows XP... I can't get my explorer to stop erroring out.. it will produce a message to send an error report to microsoft then when I click "cancel" all my windows close.

I've done the virus scans and everything and nothing is showing up... and speaking of viruses... the worm blaster, that shuts you down every few minutes, well I have that one, but here's the deal, I can't download the #6 update from the Microsoft site for some reason, it will download, but the wizard won't run.. any ideas?????

I did two full restores, both on my C drive and my D drive (this is, after I backed up my entire files... ) so far, the blaster hasn't shown up after my second recovery, but... I want to be safe and get this #6 update from microsoft and run the worm removal just to be safe...

I was on the phone yesterday and the day before for (I kid you not) about three hours each time with Microsoft, I seem to have known more than they did.. and I got so upset that I actually went out to my garage and yelled really loud and then had to turn the f*cker off because I thought I was gonna kill it.

In any event, I am working off my lap top for the time being, but I'd really like to get my desktop fixed, as my lap top just doesn't have all the bells and whistles.

Thanks all, and sorry for the late post (I worked last night and the night before)

I agree with VenusGoddess. Here is a good example of just what to do with your crappy PC.

Then go down and buy a Mac.

I will be getting another Mac on my next purchase and never again will I use another crappy PC.

When I lower my bills, maybe just maybe I'll consider a Mac. In the meantime it's TLC for my Compaq PC
