Default should I dress up to go apply?

I'm wondering if they want to see me dressed up when I go to apply for jobs. I am thinking of checking some out and applying, b ut I don't have dancer shoes or some other clothes yet.

When I go to apply can I just wear normal everyday stuff or do they want me to be dressed up like I am going to dance?

I'm applying to Austin clubs, by the way. [most likely Expose, Sugars, or Palazio, whichever I get the better vibe at]

And I've seen the job ads in many places, and they always say "apply at location."

You should have nice makeup on and have your hair done. Wear a cute and trendy outfit that is somewhat but not overly revealing. Don't walk in wearing a dancer outfit or shoes because you'll look like a streetwalker. Of course, this is only my opinion.

however, you should bring the proper shoes and an outfit in case you need to get on stage and audition or in case you stay to work.

trust me tho, you do not want to be prancing down the street in full stripper regalia.

Sapphire got it right. Fun and a little sexy is the look to go for.

Just do your make-up and hair nicely. I would wear clothes that don't hide your figure, but there's no need to play it up sexy or be super dressed up. They will probably want you to audition when you go in. If you are not ready, just explain that you are new to the business and can you hang out and watch for a little bit. Tell them you wanted to learn what the dress code was before you got the clothes (if this is your situation). Ask if there is a different dress code between day and night shifts.

If you're nervous, just show up on a daytime shift to talk to one of the managers and get the info you need. Then come back to audition.

When you are ready to start work, come prepared with exactly what you need (correct g-string requirements, etc). You don't want to have to depend on anyone else for clothes, make-up etc, that you don't have. Asking to borrow stuff is not a good thing.

Practice walking in the shoes at home. That you can do now because in all clubs, the dancer shoes are the same.
