Default Dancers who rig the books..

I gotta rant. There's a girl at our club, who has been working there on and off, and each time she works, she always seems to have a good day shift, and a good night shift- even when its slow. I had just figured she had tapped a few men passing thru and it was pure luck on her part...

The other day a couple of us girls found out why.

She arrived, and while I was in the DJ booth, she came in, set her bags down and then went immediately to her money box, and put four $100 bills in it. (the Money boxes are located right outside the DJ booth). I saw this along with the DJ. Both of us were like, "WTF was that?"

It was a slow night, and a couple of guys came in, and I saw her sit with them, then she got up and left, so I decided to try and hustle them.

I found out, that the two guys were her husband and her father in law. Later, she took them both back and gave them dances. I was like, EWWWWW... :o

So, at the end of the night, she is going on and on and on about how much money she made. Me and one other girl who also saw her "Stack" her box just rolled our eyes... then she decided to speak up to me and ask me "So Gynger, how was your night" and of course, I couldn't resist and I said, "Well, I don't need my father in law or my husband coming in to make myself look good, if that's what you mean."

We are a numbers club. But right now, the managers know how slow it is, I guess what my question is, is WHY on earth would you have your husband, boyfriend, brother or father in law come in, give you money and basically pay out of your own pocket so that you look good? And why stack your box with money in order to make a impression?

What are your takes on this, I think this chick has serious issues.

That is one of the weirdest things I've heard of thats happend in a stripclub. GROSS her father in law? Is she trying to keep it in the family or what! Is she new? is this like some kind of sick foreplay game for her and her gosh damn family! LOL

No she's not new, in fact she's a girl who will work for a few months, then disappear and reappear.. funny too, cause everytime she shows up, stuff starts missing, then when she comes back, she has something "exactly" like the person who had something taken.

I have a big issue with this as I think that it is just dishonest to have marks for dances that you really aren't getting paid for.

Me and this other girl talked today and we think we know what's going on. Our thoughts are that she is getting the money in her box, doing enough dances to make herself to be a high earner and then paying out of her own pocket.. the husband, father in law come in and help her out.

I think it stinks, but at the same time, I think, "Jesus, what a loser."

I usually don't care about stuff like this, it just irritates me that some will sink to low levels in order for them to feel good and make others think they are something that they are not.

To put the large bills in the money box is bizarre (that I see is purely to brag to dancers), but the other thing...didn't we have a thread here before called ''Hype men'', men that come into the club to make you look good? This can be a good tactic to make you appear in demand to other customers, hence upping your income. HOWEVER, what bothers me is that she actually dances for her father-in-law (I'm giving her benefit of the doubt and excusing her husband). At least if I were her husband, I'd find that uncomfortable. But I guess with her (re)appearing acts coinciding with pilfered items in the club, this one has a few personal issues surpassing her self confidence. At least for the sake of your belongings, ask management to keep an eye on the changing room.

Does the SR in Boise do things differently than the SRs here in LA?

I mean, here in LA, they have "floaters" who check on who is lapping each song, and mark it down on their lists accordingly (a slash for a topless lap, an "X" in the box for nude). At the end of the night, the dancer is responsible for paying up what she "owes" the club ($8 for every topless lap, around $15 or so for every nude), plus the eight drinks per shift they are required to have purchased for them (5 for dayshift).

Therefore, it makes little sense to pad the dance counts, as it is just money out of the dancer's pocket. Frankly, she sounds like a thief and a liar, and not very good one at that. As for dancing for her hubby or f-in-law, YIKES Far be it for me to wax judgmental on another's lifestyle choice, but that grosses even me out. I know bf's and husbands aren't allowed in the Rhinos here; whassup with all the different rules out in the sticks?

Stacking her box makes her look good to management. They see a girl who is doing well above average on slow nights. This probably makes it easier for her to come and go as she pleases.

Also, by putting herself in good with the money collectors, they'll be less inclined to do anything against her if anyone complains about stuff missing while she is around.

I'm not sure what the money box thing is about, as I've never heard of it. The SR I worked in in London didn't have them.

I just keep going over the dancing for the father-in-law. This whole family is majorly damaged. It's one thing if the in-laws know about and even support her decision to be a dancer, but PARTICIPATING? That's almost as bad as the girl whose brother would hang out by the stage to watch her dance before he gave her a ride home. Gives me the heebie-jeebies.

I know of a girl who does this in my club. She has her bf come in and buy dances to up her numbers. Its kinda innocent in the fact that he only gets a few, but if hes paying her (or she paying him) shes losing money anyway. But again, unlike the girl in Gynger's post, this girl only works like 3 days a month... so she doesnt have enough time to build many regulars.

Either way, Gynger, your story is the same... I mean, shes obviously not as great a dancer as she "thinks" she is, and shes not making as much money as she made it look. Its just sad. Atleast you know its not you, when its slow. She's just hyping herself up. lol

    Velvet:

Yeah, it's a huge cut, but the best dancers I know there usually score between 60 to 75 nude dances a night @ $40 per dance. Even keeping "just" $25 a dance, well, you do the math. None of my top ten dancers works more than 3 days a week; all own their own homes.

But remember, according to many dancers on SW, you can't make money in LA. :

We just have a big metal box that has individuals mail slot things that are locked.. (It looks like an old fashioned section of a post office box) only our managers have the keys to it.. not all girls have them either...

In any event, CP- we do the same thing as the SR's everywhere else.. we are corporate wide, so the bouncers mark our dances as we do them... I do not think that the bouncer knew who they were that she was dancing for- he does now though, a couple of other girls from last night mentioned it.

To me, it just doesn't make any sense- I've never seen this one before-EVER.. everything from making her money look legit to the dancing for the father in law..

You're not in West Virginia, are you? Did the father in law also bring in the family sheep?

While all of the above may be true, there may actually be a more "important" reason she and her family are doing this. It's not beyond the realm of possibility to consider that other members of her family might be involved in businesses which are less than legal and which generate large amounts of undocumented cash. By anonymously transferring large amounts of cash to the dancer wife, that cash suddenly becomes legal and documented income - which can then be spent without questions.

    Mel,

Interesting possibility about the illicit funds turning clean but if that was accurate I would think they would be able to do it for more than a couple hundred bucks if in fact this was the case.

I know a guy that has such a "cash" business and he has a regular dancer that he sees and spends a fortune on and they have an arrangement where she keeps some and he gets the rest back the next day but it is thousands not hundreds

i still dont understand the funtion of the money box. do all girls put all the money they make in there to be counted or is it just so you dont have to carry it on you.
