Vegas is a lot like any major city. I know dancers making $1500 a night in the same club as dancers making $200 a night. It depends on the evening, time of year, and most importantly, your sales skills and ability to be more effective as a dancer than the majority who don't do well. The oportunities are here, it just depends on your ability to maximize them to your best advantage.

As for a funny Vegas story, here's one of my more favorites that happened when I was working at Club Paradise several years ago. One of the dancers was doing a feature act and part of it involved this giant champagne glass which was about 5 feet tall. I never caught the whole act because the first time I saw her perform was her last. She filled the glass up with about five gallons of soap water to make it look like it was champagne (not sure where she got that idea, but so be it). She was drunk one night when she was working and when the time came for her to go out on stage, she pushed this huge top-heavy glass out and it tipped over, dumping gallons of soapy water all over the place. It was a tidal wave of water flowing down the runway and it soaked about ten customers sitting by the side of the stage. It took over an hour to clean the mess and the club promised to take care of the customers who got wet. The funniest part was that after they whiped the stage down, it still had soap residue on it. When everything was temporarily cleaned, three dancers went out to perform on stage at the same time and all of them, at the same time slid on the stage and fell on their butts. I guess a soapy stage and 8 inch heels didn't go well together.

I think the point about Vegas is that it is what you make of it... there are alot of factors involved in how well you will do there compared to alot of other places.

Just that I think it is a good place to be able to make a good consistent income if (like DancerWealth has said) your sales skills and ability to be more effective as a dancer than the majority who don't do well.

Gold Coast is the same... depends on the club, time of year and definately the dancer herself (sales and other abilities). Tho' no one I have known in the present or past has ever broken the illusive $1000 mark here unless it was over Indy or another special event/time of year.

I do hear of dancers banking $1000 nights in Melbourne. Granted, it isn't every night but it does happen more often down there.... it is the same as Vegas... plenty of money about.. just a case of being able to direct it your way

I think the dancer in Vegas got her soapy water filled champagne glass idea from maybe the Poconos in PA.

http://www.caesarspoconoresorts.com/.../Accom_CPT.asp

It is a pretty popular romantic hot spot in the Poconos Mountains of PA with heart shaped pools, and 7-Ft tall champagne glass shaped whirlpools.

Don't believe the hype. Vegas isn't NEARLY the goldmine it used to be. Unfortunately the reputation far outlives the reality.

I just moved to Vegas two months ago and even though summer is the slowest time Im still doing decently here. I work at the crazy horse too now and I have the 1500 dollar nights and still can easily walk with 400 on a monday. Its just a lot of hustle and the weekends have a lot of california guys coming in and bachelor parties so the young guys dont have that much money. You cant bank on 1000 a night at all, its hit or miss. There are nights I walk with 100 too.

I agree with Bridgette and Crystal. I have danced out here for over one year now. I have had some excellent nights and plenty of crappy nights too. It really depends on what type of customers come into the club and if you are lucky enough to get one of those good customers. A lot of the clubs out here are way oversaturated with dancers. Even if you are a 10+ it can still be difficult to make the big bucks when there are more dancers than customers. Good looks and sales skills help; but luck is definately a factor.
I can't tell you how many times I have sat around waiting for decent customers to come in. Not all Vegas club customers have $$$ to spend on dances. It's just like any other city. We get our fair share of stage watchers, couples, bums and pimps.
By the way - this summer has been slower than usual because of all the new clubs in town spreading out the customer base way too thin.

Good story about the Paradise Club! LOL

One day this guy came into OG's and he asked if he could pay the same for a dance but have 2 girls step on him in their high heels. The one girl had on some pretty huge 7in heals and then he was licking the bottoms of her shoes and he wanted them to step on his throat and crotch and walk on him becuz he liked pain, and then the manager came over and told them to stop.

The money is here, it's all how you play the game. If you tip out nicely it probably helps you out. Sometimes it only takes one guy to make your night a good one. People come to Vegas to spend money.
I also agree with Bridgette and some of the other posts as well. There are a lot of good nights and a lot of crappy nights. It's not what it used to be.
My thousand dollar nights I count on one hand. I make between anywhere from $100-$700 a night. It depends on a lot of things: the crowd, the conventions, the time of year, etc.
Summer definetely sux! It is the worst. March is the best becuz of C.E.S.

There are a few other places such as Showgirl Video but you don't want to work there...it's a coin-op booth place and is pretty gross. Wild J's isn't a lot better either. It's a bit nasty in there. My suggestion is you check out either of the two Deja Vu clubs (Showgirls & Lil Darlings) first. If you go to Lil Darlings, ask for the manager Budda who works there.

If you're wondering what the catch is, it should brought up that all of the clubs on DW's list are nude clubs, hence they can't serve alcohol, the Palamino being the exception since its in a different jurisdiction.

Nudity isn't really the issue; I would assume the no alcohol clubs get a lot less traffic, meaning that there is probably less money than at the clubs that serve alcohol.

With respect to Las Vegas, you would be correct. Another strike against the nude clubs is that a handful of the topless clubs have nationwide name recognition. Mention the OG, Cheetahs, or CH2 to someone even semi-familiar with strip clubs and they know what you're talking about. They're usually the first places on guys minds when they pick a club.

That point taken, I'm sure the nude clubs have their fans as well. As DW mentioned, Deju Vu and Lil' Darlings are probably the best amongst that group.

I believe the Palamino was grandfathered into the law, the club itself is still in Clark County. It's the only club in the state that got around it.

On the other hand, there is that club in Winnemucca that's half legal brothel and half quasi-nude club with alcohol.

They are. Deja Vu is the parent company. Their two clubs in Vegas are Deja Vu Showgirls which now has a really nice boutique next door and Deja Vu Lil Darlings.

I'm going to assume this is the deal everywhere, but at nude club you can generally avoid:
The drunken guy who can't figure out the ATM machine, thereby wasting your time
The same guy not being able to comprehend the rules [what kind of touching is permitted, if any, etc]
The guys who only come in to drink - yes, there are some that don't only say it

Sometimes you get a better cross-section, these guys want naked girls. They're there "for the right reasons" so to speak.

then again, you'll probably get a fair share of broke kids who aren't old to get into 21+ places. And yeah, a few of them have money, but a lot are still in highschool.

You might not make AS much as the dancer working a guy who is full of "liquid generosity" but you won't necessarily be making squat either.

I had an aquaintance of mine who worked in Vegas for a weekend and claimed to have made $3000.

TigersMilk, I notice you are in San Diego. It is close to impossible to pull $1000 in one night. There is a girl at my club who says she pulls $900 at least, every Friday night working a double shift. I would kill to make this kind of money. I have yet to make that much during a 10 hour shift. And she told me about another dancer who sometimes makes over $1000 on Fridays.
