I was thinking of picking up the book. Anyone read it or have comments about it?
Ryan, I figured you might know a bit about it since you seem to be big into natural foods.![]()

I just bought it. I think he gives sound advice when it comes to supplements and nutrition, but he also heavily pushes his own products, which are exhorbitantly expensive. You can get drugstore versions that are muc cheaper. Also, he touts salmon, which I love and I think is great for you...except for the mercury levels in seafood today
I'm looking to alleviate some blotchiness and redness, and some fine lines that have popped up in the last year (will be turning 28 in October). At any rate, this is day 2 of taking the supplements in the doses he recommends, so I'll keep you posted.
I've done the 3 day intensive diet in that book and I lost a lot of puffiness around my eyes and felt really good. My friend (who has Type 1 Diabetes plus a thyroid problem) also said she felt really good and was impressed with the results.
I've never done the supplements or his brand of skin care products (I hate how much he pushes them) but when I even generally follow his food suggestions I feel lighter, more energetic and my skin seems nicer.
If you are going to do it, buy wild Salmon and get the freshest fruits and veggies you can. The biggest plus of this diet is that he gives you guidelines to eat healthfully that are pretty easy to stick with - even while eating out.

I have 2 of his books and think that they're great! I also have used the skincare and vitamin line. The firming face activator (I think that's what it was called) was ok. The vitamin C face wash also ok, but I loved the vitamin C face cream. There are lots of products, but i have not tried them all.
I'm going to do the supplements DMAE and Alpha Lipoic Acid. His skin care line is way too expensive. I did a bit of research on DMAE online and it was used in the 1950s to help older people with senility although it was only semi effective. I'm still debating using DMAE since its for firmness and I don't have a problem with it- I just want to slow down future aging. Alpha Lipoic Acid sounds useful. Right now I'm also taking omega 3 fatty acid and grape seed extact.
By the way I showed the before and after pictures to my boyfriend and he wasn't convinced He said the people's changes could be from them getting more sleep. Anyway I'm still doing the supplement thing because I think it could be helpful and isn't harmful.
hmmmm, thank you all for the reviews. Is it worth buying the book or should I try the cliff notes?![]()
I want some considerable changes and nothing to fad like.

I think the book is worth buying. The chapters on why we age are long and dry but the book does have good basic diet advice. It tells about the benefits of olive oil, yogurt, fish and other healthy foods.

I just finished reading his book last week... it was interesting but a bit overwhelming... I am spose to take how many supplements now?... I found some of the food combos a bit weird.... Haven't really been organised enough to try it but probably should give it a go. I got the book from the library, might be the best thing to do if you are unsure about buying it.
