Jim Cadviezel, or however you spell it. The guy that played Jesus in the passion.

I so cannot wait. I love the original Superman movie. Did you know that Mario Puzo, who wrote the Godfather book, wrote the script for the original Superman movie?

I love the original Superman movie, too - okay, well parts of it. Parts make me cringe terribly. I fear I do not have faith in Warner Brothers and DC Comic adaptations at the moment - Catwoman, Constantine and Jack Black as Green Lantern indicate to me that the studio doesn't give a shit about the fanbase.

Anyway, to give proper credit - Puzo crafted a rather campy story for the Superman movie and along with others created a screenplay. However, the real credit for the finished version belongs to Tom Mankiewicz, known for writing several Bond screenplays and as the son of director/writer Joseph Mankiewicz who wrote some of the greatest dialogue ever (All About Eve).

It was Mankiewicz that effectively treated Superman as American myth and he should have been credited as the screenwriter. It was a stupid formality that caused him to be uncredited.

The new Superman movie(s) will be in interesting no doubt. I wasn't impressed with the X-Men movies much though. I thought the components to the movies were fine...decent acting, good directing, but just the scrips were not very good in my opinion. Although I liked the second X-Men more than the first, it really looked like they were trying way too hard. It seemed like they they had to figure out ways to get every single character equal time in the movie just to make the actors happy and not get pissy. That's always the sign of a bad script in my book.

I'm just waiting for the next Daredevil movie though.

Well, sdinger shitcanned the whole script that McG wrote. McG wrote and directed Charlie's Angels (eye candy aside that movie sucked). In his script, McG had Lex Luther as an alien, an intact Krypton, and a Superman with a living costume. Superman is an american icon (yes, i know one of his creators was from canada, but they both concieved him as being from Kansas), you don't fuck with Superman.

Bryan Singer getting this job, i'm walking on air over this news!

Actually - I wasn't expecting much from the x-men movies, however I was pleasantly surprised. Even my girlfriend loved them! In fact, she dragged me (well, not really ) to the 2nd movie.

However, I was thoroughly disappointed by Daredevil.

All the movie adaptations of the popular comic books have a high potential, but also a high risk for utter failure and heavily disappointing the loyal fan base. It's a delicate mix between hollywood's need for big budget special effects, and the actual comic book story line. If they can effectively balance both, then they've got a tremendous money making opportunity....... Just look at what the Spiderman movies have done!

It's kind of in it's infancy.

No telling when it will come out. I just hope i don't get hit by a truck before then.

Spiderman 2 rocked. I loved every second of it. You should have seen me walking out of that movie. I turned around and bought another ticket. I had a big shit-eating grin for days!

I've seen it seven times. Walk out with that same shit eating grin every time. I can't wait for it to come on DVD.

When the first Batman movie came out on VHS I watched it probably two or three times a day for like three months straight...

Stripperella is kind of dumb. Stan Lee made it, that dumbfounds me.

Voodoo from the wildc.a.t.s. is a stripper, she even uses her stage name for her superheroine name. Blaze too (can you guess what her power is?)

Not that i have found. D.C. owns it now, though, so you might try their site.

believe it or not, it was me looking up something on Voodoo that brought me to SW in the first place. That's how i found the site. LOL.

    Much to many folk's dismay.

I LOVE Stripperella. I am screaming with laughter every time I catch an episode,.....getting it on DVD.
Jim Caviezel as Superman? He will have played TWO Jewish Superheroes! Ha ha. I'm unable to look at him in a sexual way after seeing him as Our Lord Savior and Shepherd....I feel dirty in a bad way.
