Default I'm new and ready to learn!

Hey ya'll! I'm so happy I found this place becasue I had no where to start. I'm 18 and I want to start stripping but I have no idea where to start ??? and still have so many question after reading a lot of posts.

I'm really small and I was wondering if that was going to be a problem. I'm 5'1 weigh and a size 0 waist but I have big boobs, so i'm guessing that's a plus, right? Also I'm Indian, so I don't know if thats a positive or negative.

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Welcome aboard and we're here to help. Many people on here are here to give you push in the right direction if that's what you need and there is no question that this is one of the best resources on the net (or otherwise) for dancers.

As to your questions, your size shouldn't hinder you one bit and as to your ethnic origin, it could either help you or hinder you depending on the club. There are many ways you can use it to your advantage though, and you should make good use of it. You should be proud of your ethnicity and have fun with it. As for your age though, please understand that you are still very young and do as much research into this industry as possible from an objective point of view. It's not all the glitz and glamour that you might think it is. It's a tough line of work and can be very frustrating at time. Also understand that if you aproach it right, the rewards can be very good also. Do yourself a favor and make sure you are making this decision for the right reasons. You may even want to get into the work force for a little while first or get into school. Dancing will always be there should you decide to do it. Just be sure it's the right decision for you and not something you decided to do on an impulse. Either way though, you have come to a great place to learn all about the biz, so again, welcome aboard!

Thanks ya'll. I'm still doing more research into this biz before I make my decision but I'm already a soph. in college and have a job that's pretty cool. This is something I want to try and see where it takes me but I want to do it right and go into it with as much info as I can.

Dancer Wealth gives great advice. I can't imagine having started dancing at age 18 - it is a very difficult business - but it can be a major advantage to have those extra years to earn money since you are starting early. Please take it seriously, as a business, from day one. Don't forget to have a life outside of work as well -- enjoy being 18 and in college. Personally, I keep my work life and the rest of my life very separate. Good luck!

I'm 19, dancing and having fun. It's the only way I'm able to get through college (especially with the tuition hikes year after year...!). As long as you keep you head together and realize you are doing a job and not partying every night, you should be okay. Treat it like a business.

If you do become a dancer just do not get caught up in the sterotypical stripper lifestyle. Remember it's a job not a lifestyle.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

Being indian is only BETTER!! Men like more of a variety and all types of women. Foreign women def. have the upperhand. I wish I was something exotic like swedish or himalayan!

    Give away dances for free.

You'll take a short-term loss but will rake in the $$$$ in the future. The big bewbies might be a problem but it's nothing that a breast reduction won't solve.

    j/k.

Seriously, being small with ginormous bewbies is a plus. You might want to appeal to the pedophile in all of us and dress in a tartan skirt or something.

I think the main indicator of whether being Indian will cause "problems" or not is what the social "climate" is like in your general area. If people in general have a problem with Indians in the area where you'll be working, it may spill over into the club. If people have no problems with Indians where you'll be working, it should be okay. Customers at strip clubs can be odd. Some guys (like me), go for the dark, mediterranean looking types. However, many guys MUST like the blond, blue-eyed archetypes of beauty since many of the girls dancing in clubs seem to fit in this category and I am a firm believer that market pressures are behind this.
