I asked a dancer how many dances she does a night and she said 5 or 6. Is that the norm?

If so, have you or would you ever tell a patron that you didn't feel like doing a private dance, or is the extra money always a selling point no matter how you feel?

No, we basically don't turn down money. There have been a few clubs where I refuse to do lapdances and only do champagne rooms tho.

I've worked in clubs where the number of dances done ran the gamut, from a handful to 100+.

I rarely turn down a dance if I'm approached for one, typically only have done so if the guy was exceptionally grabby/rude on the floor or because the guy stank to high heaven and I didn't want his funk on me.

    I have turned down dances.

Usually, I have turned them down when its a busy night and I have a regular who is in, or when I just think the person is too drunk. I don't like giving a private dance to someone who is so wasted that they can't think or see straight. My reasons on this stem for many reasons:

    I've been thrown up on
I've had the guy pass out back in a private room
    and
I've encountered bad experiences with groping and pulling at my bikini, and verbal abuse.

Was never a biggie on ld's in a club, when i did start doing them i never turned down a guy, it was money. I always carried around the fear that that one customer would come back to a club however and try to stick fingers in me. So when Pure Platinum left i went topless only, and felt better. Now i do nude dancing, and feel comfortable.

I give MY rules up front, and if he tries any fingers he's gonna get hit in the balls real hard with a very long ponted heel. I mean that.

Many clubs will not tolerate a dancer who refuses to do private dances, since many clubs consider private dances to be their "bread and butter" business.

As to typical private dances per night, I would guess that a figure of 10 might be on the low side and a figure of 25 might be above average. However, depending on the particular club culture and business conditions, I've had nights where there wasn't a single customer buying lap dances (didn't stick around that club very long LOL), and nights where I had to quit doing lap dances at 50 or so because I simply didn't have any energy left !

Highest number dances I've done in a night was about 60 - that was in a $10 dance environment and a damn busy club. Highest number I've done in a $20 dance environment was 41. Of course these numbers don't count the dances I've done on champagne room time, where in some cases I wound up dancing MORE songs than if I'd been selling laps by the song. I'm afraid to think of the total number of songs I've danced in my 9 years in clubs. ng: : :o

I have turned down dances with obnoxious assholes and will continue to do so. I can always find a better customer. I generally just use the busy excuse (which is true more often than not), but if a guy was a MAJOR ass in a dance I'll stop dancing and let him know why in no uncertain terms. Hagglers also get the brush-off from me, with a smiling "there's several other guys in here who'll pay me full price" so he gets to feel nothing of me but the breeze from my speedy exit. "Come back later-ers" also get the brush-off 99% of the time - "ok sure, catch me later if you can." I won't go back unless they come to me waving $20s (or more).

I have turn down everything from lapdances to champange rooms... money isnt everything. I like being able to look at myself in the morning, no point in ruining that by dancing for some grabby asshole or far worse.

The club I work at 5 dances with not even cover your house fee. I'd say, on average, people at my club do about 8-10 an hour for a 4 hour shift on a good night. 5/hour on a bad night.
I haven't turned anyone down yet, but nobody is in the habit of asking. It's all about the hustle...

Sorry, I don't mean to, but its the truth.

The highest number of dances I've done was 101- I usually pull around 40 on any night I work, I never have any complaints from my manager's when I turn dances down. As long as I cash out with at least 40 dances on the books, I don't care, but lately, my numbers have been slipping, I just haven't been motivated to hustle... perhaps knowing that the light is waiting at the end of the tunnel is why the last three shifts I've worked have been low ball figures...

40 dances on average per night?!?! WOW!

Good GOD! I hope those are not all 2:1 or $10 dances.

I'm sorry, but if you don't mind me asking, how much does that usually translate to in terms of take-home income from one shift?

There's one club I visit where they offer 2:1 ALL DAY on Mondays (I don't visit on Mondays). There's a dancer I know there who makes usually $700 from doing 35-40 2:1's all day long.

Wow...the ladies at my club would kill to get that many dances in one night. Id say our average is closer to 15 to 20 per shift. Of course, sometimes a good regular shows up to boost their earnings a bit

Back on topic, Id say, here at least, dance opportunities are rarely turned down. One of my semi flockettes was telling me awhile back about this older gentleman who used to come in to see her. Apparently he had a bladder issue because he wore adult diapers. She felt sorry for the guy but the sound of the diaper material crinkling wierded her out. She told me it got to the point where she would rather have fended off a perv than listen to the crinkle crinkle one more time. So she gave him das boot. Other than that, I cannot remember any other tales of turning down dance money.

I never turn down a dance. However I have had to end several due to grabbiness. I always get em back there and get my money up front then if they grab me I just wont continue the dance and I have my money any way.

I've turned down dances and money before.

I've turned down stage tips probably a handful of times over the years. The most notable being while I was working at the Lodge in Dallas. It was part of my "thing" there to put on my stage show, and then when anyone came up to tip, I would simply tell them "hello" and thank them, and hold out my garter for the tip. I would not do any kind of "show" stage-side for the tip. I actually found my money increase DRAMATICALLY when I did this, and I don't know why.....
But once this guy comes up to the stage with his girlfriend, and they each have a dollar. I go up to the girl first, introduce myself, and thank her for coming up to the stage to tip me. Her bf looks at me and says "I'm not giving you this until you work for it" So I told him that I don't do stage side shows, so it's okay if he wants to keep his tip...lol... he gets really angry and yells "Don't you want this dollar? Come on...Shake your ass for it and rub your tits on my face. It's what you girls do." I simply said "Well not this girl, and NO I don't want your dollar." And walked away...lol

The times I've turned down table dancing for someone has been when they've been overtly rude or disrespectful. I would rather go up to the guy at the next table and dance there for that song, than stay with someone who doesn't deserve to have me stand in front of them.
And as for how many number of dances I do each night on average....that's the same thing as asking me how much money I make each night, and I'm not comfortable posting such personal info. LOL. It seems like someone has gotten creative and crafty with the "how much do you girls make per night" question.

When I have alot of people waiting to get dances from me I'll turn down dances from the guys that i know will only make me dance for one song. But having the luxury to choose doesnt always occur... And I'll turn down the guys who magically decide they want a dance at 5 minutes to close. And even then, thats when the night has been satisfactory, but those guys really tick me off!!! I mean, come on, they had so much time to make up their mind before..
The first idea is always the best idea.

I average about two champagne room customers and five to ten lap dances per night.

The night I did 101 was a rare night.. we had Godsmack and Metallica in the house.. it was a crazy night.. all the girls working averaged around 65 and one girl did 80...

There's money here where I am, but some girls don't know how to hustle, I have no issues with getting 40 per night, give or take a few... and they are usually specials, 2 for 20's and 4 for 40's, but once I get them back there, I get them to get another round and I get tipped...

In a bigger city I'd probably be less prone to doing as many, just because of either the size of the club or just being overwhelmed. I am comfortable where I am, and I have regulars. Its not uncommon for myself or a few girls to have almost 40 dances by 11:00- sometimes we'll get all of our dances in and then we relax the rest of the night.. but then there's nights where it just plain sucks and the average number is 25 to 30.

Holy snot, the last few nights I've been averaging 5-8, I haven't done 10+ in forever - my record is 16. My club started keeping track of laps, recently I've done the most, but other girls aren't that far behind, and there's one that does at least 10-15, sometimes 20+ but she only works twice a week.

I've been so hating my club recently, last night was maybe 30 guys in the entire night, 16 or 17 girls working. The most any girl did was 12 dances. Always having to deal with the irritating guys sucks, because there is NO one else to go up to, and you haven't even made tip-out yet - and tip-out is $10. Grrg.

    edited to add:
It's been awhile, but I can remember one night where this guy who'd been in the night before, was an jerk to me, came in and was like "sorry about last night, I was an idiot, can I get a dance?" So I did one, and then I'm like "would you like to keep going?" him: "*condescending tone* That depends now, are you going to let me go further? *hand reaches towards crotch*" me: "Nope!" and I walked out. Felt great.

well yeah I've turned down a dance, when it's been at the end of the night the lights are practically going on, and I've been hell tired, I wasn't rude I just passed the dance on to another girl.

I forgot to add this as well. Cocaine is just plain raunchy! I have gotten ready to do a dance and smelled that and was like, "on second thought... you know, I just saw a regular.. catch me in a while, but so and so is available"

I know that sounds mean, but I have no tolerance for this.
