I just started working at Centerfolds in SF. I am not sure about the incessant claims that there is no money and/or no customers in the industry anymore. Centerfolds was packed, and it was a Wednesday. I've also noticed how evasive other members are when asked how much they make. I'm pretty straightforward-- I made 440, and the house took 100 so I walked away with 340, not bad for an amateur. A little tip for other newbies: the only people impressed with pole tricks are other strippers. Customers prefer TONS of eye contact, smiling and winking...anything to make them feel special.
P.S.: both of my knees are severly bruised and I'm quite sore. Are 8+ hour shifts the standard for most strip clubs?
Oh also, if you are a smoker, don't do it at work. It smells gross to have a girl rub up on you when she smells like ass. Seriously I am not sure why so many girls smoke while working.
