Default has anyone had (or seen) a breast lift?

Hi, I would really like to get a breast lift... I'm only 21 and my boobs look around 40! I've done a bit of reading online ( was helpful) but I'd really like to know what to expect regarding the scarring.

How much time do I need after the operation before I go back to work? Will the scars be noticeable?

If anyone has stories (and pictures would be wonderful!) to share, I'd be really grateful.

    Thanks!

I'd like to know as well...I can't envision myself ever getting implants, but I want to lift these puppies up the minute they start sagging!

    PS that link doesn't work...

I got a lift with my breast augmentation. I have no scarring from the procedure. My advice to you ladies is to research and consult with more than one doctor. The first Dr. I went to wanted to "butcher" my breast, I finally found a doctor who could do a lift by making an incision above my nipple and cutting the excess skin.
Here is the website of the doctor who did mine.

I had a lift with my reduction.

since I had a reduction the cut I had is the anchor type, which is the biggest type they talk about on page: http://www.breastlift4you.com/breast_lift_surgery.htm

scarring really depends upon you... I am at day 20 and my cuts are quite noticable. especilly the bottom of the anchor. you can see pics of my marks in the pic post section titled "frankenboobs"

"How much time do I need after the operation before I go back to work?"
depends.... are you danceing? that might take awhile, especilly since dancing requires lot of flexibility, weight, and then there are the scars...... oh and the bra. I have to wear a sports bra 24/7, I can not wear an underwire for at least 6 months.

I didnt go back to work for nearly two weeks, but I also took a vacation to see my inlaws the week after recover....I coulda worked at a week, but my job is simple, mainly just awnsering phones and talking to customers... I still can not operate the press at work. It took me 5 days or so before I could even brush/wash my own hair, but only a few hours before I could go to the bathroom by myself. I didnt cook for a week (but my husband likes to cook for me), I couldnt reach the chips on top of the fridge for a week, I can lift myself with my arms by pushing ex: I can hop up on the kitchen counter that took about 2 weeks. it was a week and a half before I picked up my little cat, I think she weighs about 8-10lbs. I still havent tried to pick up my big cat. it took me 5 days to walk ok (I had to walk kinda funny and slow as to not jar my breasts), but I tried to give my husband a bj on day 4 (all my dreams for the first 5 days were either scary, or sex dreams), we had sex on day 6. I had to sleep on my back for the first 6 or 7 nights, then I put a pillow to my front and my husband on my back and kinda slept sideways, then my husband would move and I would fall back to my back, I hate sleeping on my back, I can now sleep on my side with just the pillow (which is how I slept before), but sometimes I do get a pain and have to adjust. I have lain on my stomache twice, but with my upper body proped up on my elbows. I still dont like to reach extreamly far, like to water the top plant at work (about 8-9 feet off the ground I have to stand on a stool), or get my humming bird feeder (just a little higher then the top of my fridge, but still to high for me). the only flexability I do not have is to reach straight across my cheast, but thats not nessasary for daily living, just for streaching my shoulder. I also find it difficult to reach my back, but a lot of people cant do that at all so I think I am doing well. I have been able to dress myself since day 3/4, and have been able to dress myself with pull over shirts since day 6. I still have not tried to vacume, but we have a very very heavy one. I accidently lifted my book bag on day 8, it weighed about 10-12lbs I think. I stoped taking my pain pills on day 3. days one and two I took them religiously, even to the point of making my husband get me one 1/2 hour before I tried to get out of bed. I got a few stiches removed on day 9, and the rest removed yesterday (day 19). I have been told not to lift any more then 15lbs untill 6weeks, and that I wont be fully healed untill between 6 months and a year.

I would also like to note that I was on on-Q for about the first 3 days we think. but I got it removed on day 9 when I went for my first post-op. http://www.askyoursurgeon.com/onqsolution.php

Lifts vary depending on how much skin needs to be taken. You can do a periareolar lift with just an incision around the areola, a "vertical mastopexy" with an incision around the areola and then down to the crease (lollipop) or one that looks like an anchor. It all depends on the degree of droop and whether an implant is going to be used. Plastics Doc
