    Default Cheap Customers

How can I get a customer with a HUGE wad of cash to share a little (or a lot) of it with me? The other day, this guy had a massive wad of cash in his pocket, yet he would fight with it to get $1 to tip the girls. I managed to squeeze one dance out of him--and again, he fought with all those 20's to pay me in ones, with no tip. How cheap is THAT? How can I tell if a guy is NOT worth my time, like this one wasn't? For the time being, he is most certainly on my "ignore" list.

Every dancer who is not my favorite considers me a cheap customer, especially the new girls who don't know I'm only there to see one person. I'm not cheap but focused.

That is kind of tricky. These guys flash wads of cash to keep you around without really having to pay for it.They know since you have seen the money, you will stick around to see if he'll spend it,therefore "free" company. If you can't get him to budge after putting a little more effort into it(i.e. undivided attention, etc.),then it wasn't meant to be.

Sometimes we're just not the type these guys are looking for at the moment.

Exactly OTB-thats why they hire more than one girl to dance, and as I have always believed there is more to being a dancer than getting naked.

Bingo. And as long as dancers are fawning over him for flashing wads of cash, a customer like that is going to keep on pulling that stunt. He'll only loosen up the billfold a little when everyone puts him on their ignore list. You're under no obligation to dance for a guy like that, so find an easier target.

Remember, its how much they spend, not how much they have that matters.

Most dancers that have been in the biz for a while will tell you that the vast majority of guys that flash a wad of cash have little intention on spending it.

For all you know, the guy brought in all the cash he makes in a month (2K looks pretty impressive in C-notes, for example), and decided that since we're all such a bunch of scruple-free money grubbers that he'll flash the cash thinking he'll get whatever he wants by dangling the proverbial carrot on stick in front of us. In the last five years I've seen it on an almost weekly basis.

The guys that DO have a wad they want to spend are typically very discreet about it. They often tip a dancer they like more than the typical $1 (usually a $20 gets the message across) to get her attention and then start dropping cash.

    hello there,
question... because I am new and haven't frequented clubs in the past I was curious if a dance is $20 should they pay $20 plus a tip? thanks!

Tipping's not a requirement, but if you like you dancer and enjoyed your dance, it's certainly appreciated! If you do it in advance she'll likely give you a better dance.

I'm not much of a rail tipper, being that I don't spend much time there, but I agree about the discretion; he shows more about who he is as customer by spending more cash, not by showing more cash. But then again, I don't go if I'm not going to spend a bunch, so maybe that's not the norm.

Much in the same spirit.. a customer that does not buy dances nor stage tip truly doesnt belong in a stripclub.

Many try to justify that their cover charge has been paid so they have the right to loiter around and take in free entertainment, yet they do not realize modern stripclubs charge the dancers stage fees and payout fees.

The cover charge makes a contribution to the club, but it does not provide restitution to the dancers for the entertainment they are providing and actually paying out of pocket to provide. If you're not going to buy dances, then you absolutely *should* at least provide stage tips in order to pay for the entertainment you are receiving. Otherwise, you're simply freeloading.

On the original topic of the 'wad of cash' customer, as Nina put it- a customer intentionally throwing around a wad of cash is the least likely to spend it. It's simply a tool he is using to try and generate free attention. Someone that actually has the intention to spend is best suited by not showing it, just by good reason and logic as it's the similar to playing poker with all cards up. Someone throwing around that wad of cash obviously has no concern or plan on spending it, otherwise they would not be showing it around and consider it perfectly safe and secure.
It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.

Cheap customers make up the majority in the clubs where I live..I have to travel 100-200 miles out of town to see guys part with a little cash....And the worst part is when they expect to own you for a dollar. I dont spend much of my time with customers who expect the world for a dollar....Sad part is some girls I work with do..That lowers the standard and makes it even harder to make any money at all.

As soon as a customer starts flashing around wads of cash or talking about how rich he is, and how much money he is going to give me tonight, I high tail it out of there. I will of course, ask if he is ready to part with some of his cash yet (ie; ready for a dance?), but if he says no, I just tell him to let me know when he is ready, and I have to get back to work. No time wasted on a cheap customer, or if he was waiting for someone else, he has a chance to flag her down.

Even if it is totally dead, I will sit in back and read a book instead of giving free time to a customer. As it is I am putting on a free show for the non tippers at the stage. Management doesn't like this, but they aren't paying me, so this is how I operate.

I had a manager jump my case because I wasn't sitting and entertaining non tipping customers. So I asked him if he was going to pay me to entertain these cheap customers? His response was that if the guys weren't spending it was because I was a bad sales person, not because they were cheap. I thought that was a very naieve answer, and told him as much. the owner of this particular club LOVES me so I can run roughshod over management, if nessessary. I am at work to make money, and I have a good steady clientele, don't call off, and always show up on time. These habits tend to go a long way when I have issues with management.

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

I love that guy at my club who is always doped up, tells me he makes 3K a week selling weed (oooh, you're so cool), flips through his cash roll, talks about all the bling-bling he has, THEN, when I try to close the sale, starts yelling at me loudly that he only does 2-4-1 dances...

Why...'cause he's a regula ya know dawg, and all da hoes know it, and I would be luckly to get a 2-4-1 from a balla like him!

Regular piece of crap! Bleh...he'd better not bother me tonight!

    Thanks everyone, for your advice.

Goldclubbing, for the record, this particular customer does not have an ATF, and I was the only one he bought a dance from. I do not consider customers of which whom I am not their ATF to be cheap---they are, as you stated, just focused. I choose to avoid the more focused customers, and try to concentrate on the more open-minded ones.

I think I will take some of ParisLove's advice. I don't have a steady clientele, though. ParisLove, maybe you could give me some tips!

Sit down for a brief conversation (5-10 min), and ask him if he wants a dance; if he says, "no thank you", move on.

Just because you saw a wad of cash, doesn't mean he has to spend it. Maybe you can charm him, but don't get too disapointed if you can't. It's better to get some dances from guys with less money, but who are willing to spend then keep trying to work a stingy customer with a bankroll.

You mentioned he's now on your "ignore list". I take this to mean that you see him hanging around the club regularly. Does he seem to get dances from a particular dancer, or is he just cheap with everyone?

The other day I stopped by a club to see if one of my favorites was there. Unfortunately, she wasn't there that day, so just I hung out long enough to have one soda, tip a few girls on stage, chat with a few of her friends, and then I left with a heavier wallet than normal. I guess that day, some dancer who didn't know me, might have looked at me as being a cheap customer.
Good insight. Yes, he was cheap with each and every girl. I have seen him before, and he never buys dances from anyone, but he did buy a dance from me the last time he was there. I will follow everyone's advice here and avoid the flashers, who seem to show and tell but not share. .
