    Default Cheekbone implants

    Has anyone had this done?
I haven't met anyone who has done this and I was just wondering what the results end up looking like.
Does it ever end up giving a chipmunk apperance to the face?
And what is it that makes high cheekbones look so good? Does it just balance the face out or is it that ''exotic'' look it gives one?

not sure but sheesh couldn't really imagine what it would look like.....unless someone really needed reconstruction on the face.

Is it posssible for the implants to disslocate themselves like if one fell down lower than the other?
Just curious becouse I have been hearing lately that more people are having this done.
What happen's after you have them for 10 years?

Yes they can move out of place the same way that Breast Implants shift or go hard as the body tries to reject the implant. I'm not sure what the percentages are, but if you search long and hard enough you will find referancies to it.

I did a search for pictures of cheek implants a while ago and most of the before and after pictures that popped up (not alot of them) were of middle aged or older women who had face lifts had the cheek implants also to fill out the face , provide structure or provide something extra skin could go over.

I knew a gal who had cheekbone implants done. She looked great afterward but ran into complications and had to have them removed. It's because she had a bad surgen reccomended by Kaiser (they don't give great doc referals).

I had cheek implants along with a chin implant back in 1996. I haven't had a problem with them at all so far - Dr. Heller ( NJ) did them. There are two types of implants from what he told me- A kind that give you "apple" cheekbones (a round implant) and other he called "movie star cheekbones" ( a long thin kind that go across you cheeks). I had the thin long implants. It took the chubbiness out of my cheeks, I had a very round face. It took about a week to heal. Hope this helps. E-mail me if you want more info!
