Default Fun Q & A

Alright, I didn't see this question anywhere unless I am totally blind. I'm bored and I am trying to not smoke so here goes a lengthy and multi-part question. Most probably won't answer but at least I am keeping my hands busy.

How was it for all of you the first time you danced? How long until you got the hang of it and had a "style"? What kind of music motivates you on stage to really put on a show? Is there any kind of ritual you have (a la Demi Moore in Striptease) before work? True or not true PRINCE IS THE KING when it comes to stripping!!!

I think the "drive" to the club is the worst on your first day. Anyone remember the agonizing walk to the door of your first club? My first time on stage was my audition and the whole freeking club stopped what they were doing to watch..but I danced to "touch me" by Samantha Fox..lol..I got by it ..got hired and you learn stuff everyday. I feel different everyday with different people. I don't dance hard the way I used to..the money is not on that pole which I see a lot of newbies do..and watch themselves in the mirror instead of the crowd. I think Prince was hot for clubs but is way over used. I get pumped to dance to 80's stuff ...Beds are Burning by Midnight Oil and Buffalo Stance by Nini Cherry etc... And NOOO I don't dance around my house naked singing into a hairbrush like Demi Moore "rehearsing" holy crap dancing would encompass our entire lives if we did that and would burn out real quick. Some girls do have poles in their homes though.

Most of my friends were dancing at the "upscale" club in San Antonio and that's why I started. I was so excited and super nervous and peed about 20 times that day. I remember I was most pumped about the make-up, heels and clothes (dork!) than anything else... Oh yeah, and the stories about the money. I was super young, just turned 19 and had never set foot in a club so I was totally clueless. I picked Dylan for a stage name (my little bro) and avoided the DJ for as long as I could so I could watch the girls. My manager kept asking if I wanted a drink but I was too nervous. I never did get up on the stage that day but my first lap dance was a crack up! I was called over to a huge group and started dancing for an older gentleman who was there with his football team. College. I turn around and there staring at me are about 5 guys I graduated with a few months before. Sheeee-iiiiit!! They all tipped me well and I hung out with them the rest of the night. Prince is still my number 1 man. I do dance around like a poor man's version of Demi Moore and sing my ass off in the car on the way to work.

Nerve racking.

Still don't quite have a set "style" yet.

Christina Millan: *Dip it low* really gets me going. so does 112

Ritual? shower, shave, (baby)wipe, lotion, deoderant, makeup. ALWAYS in that order.

Prince is cool, but doesn't get me amped like the other girls.

lucky bee-otch! My first day, as SOON as I got there. I was NEXT onstage. I was all like WTF?! Luckily, a "vet" felt bad for me, and took me into the back room to show me some basic moves so I wouldn't look like a TOTAL reject in front of the crowded room!

I've been seeing the baby wipe thing alot lately. What is up with that exactly? I do own a box but it's in the earthquake kit in case the water is shut off and we can't bathe. Yich. Perish the thought.

I remember my 1st time on stage, I was soooooo scared. I danced to 2 of the longest songs they had; they were the only ones I reconized at the time, I was so country then! It took me 3 times on stage before I got fully naked and 2 times on stage before I got topless. I forgot to take any clothes off my 1st set. How I made that $23 I'll never know! I was so scared my 1st lap dance too. God I danced for that guy like I did on stage, totally air dance, and he was so mad. He told me "Honey you won't get far being a prude in this business. " I took his advice to heart as well as the other dancers who would offer any advice.

My fav set to warm up to is Type O-, it's slow so I can limber up and still sexy as hell, so it puts me in the right mood for the night.

My ritual consists of putting my weave in, after a shower and shaving if I need it. (I grow hair really slow), then getting on the bling bling and dressing. I make sure I get to the club right at (pm and I have to park in or around the same spot all the time. The one time I couldn't I made like $101 all night. The rest of the girls made around $400 each (yes, even the "bad" ones. I feel so unloved!)

That's my routine, and I'm sticking to it!

Kitana

P.S. I gotta go to work right now, but I post more when I get back home tonight!

Loves you guys, and wish me tons of the new $50's LOL!

Cottonmouth, shakes. A vet helped me out (it was a bachelor party, yikes!) God Bless Sisterhood.
Two years to be decent.
Ritual: make sure I look my best, case the room to see what kind of night it'll be.
Yes, Prince is da man. My fave songs are "You got the look" and "Peach."

Just makes you feel EXTRA clean down south. Also, I use them after EVERYTIME I go potty, so it gets rid of any possible lingering TP "dust" or pieces that might GLOW under black light.

Oh lawd how many times have I seen that gowing TP. It's so bad. So sad. Has anyone ever danced for a celeb? Eh. I haven't unless you count a local weather man. He was rude as shit and then years later I ran into him while bartending. Oy! How bad is that? Many and many occasion I'll start dating someone new and I'll meet the friends. They start telling me I look familiar and then a moment or two later their eyes bulge. They've seen my boobies before my new man. That's a tricky situation.

How was it for all of you the first time you danced? Years of catwalk shows and drama classes have cured me of any sort of stage fright, so I was really very calm about it all. I guess my biggest concern was "Damn, I hope I make some money!".
I was very excited about being able to dress up and flirt as part of my job

How long until you got the hang of it and had a "style"? I have been dancing for about 5mths, and have just started to get the hang of it now. I have established a 'look', have a regular client base and am earning consistantly... and things just keep on getting better every shift!

What kind of music motivates you on stage to really put on a show? Is there any kind of ritual you have (a la Demi Moore in Striptease) before work? At work we don't have a DJ, just mixed music, so I never really get to decide on what I'd like to preform to Out of the music that they *do* play, NIN, No Doubt and ACDC get me the most motivated.
I don't have a set 'before work ritual', but I guess that packing my dance bag with costumes and the like gets me in 'work mode'.

True or not true PRINCE IS THE KING when it comes to stripping!!! .....And Madonna is the queen!

p.s: Amd I the only one who prefers &#039ancing at the Blue Iguana' over 'Striptease' ?

I honestly loved Blue Iguana... I even own it on DVD! But every one I had spoken to commented on how much better Striptease was, so I had very high expectations when I hired it.

I will never get that hour and a half of my life back :'(

How was it for all of you the first time you danced?

I am going to admit something that I wouldn't otherwise- the first night I danced EVER, I had to get drunk in order to get thru the night- I had stage fright so horribly, that my knees knocked together and then something happened a few days later, I actually found myself "Craving" to be up there. I auditioned to Love and Rocket's - So alive, and my first set (I will always remember this til the day I die) was "Pour some sugar on me" by Def Leppard, and Dokken's "Heaven Sent".

How long until you got the hang of it and had a "style"? About a year. I started taking lessons on the pole from a girl within a few months, and wish I had realized that the guys could care less about the pole.. its just a bunch of hype. Yes, I have one at home, however, I use it more for exercise than anything- it is a good work out if you don't act like a monkey.

What kind of music motivates you on stage to really put on a show? I like dark stuff now. Lacuna Coil, Marilyn Manson, odd ball stuff, stuff you'd never expect- Zombie is so played out, wish I could find someone like his style. Every now and then, I would play my very first set just to get for old times sake.

Honestly, the best set that I always got a lot of attention on was an old Kiss set I dug out- Heaven's on Fire, Let's put the X in sex, and I was made for lovin you.. or sometimes I'd put on Dominoe.. I love Kiss.

Is there any kind of ritual you have (a la Demi Moore in Striptease) before work? Not really. I used to do my workout an hour before I would leave for work- but that got old... no ritual other than stretching..

True or not true PRINCE IS THE KING when it comes to stripping!!! He used to be. I started dancing in the early 90's- he was all that and sliced bread back then.. now, it seems he's over played.

BTW.. I didn't care for the Blue Iguana- I found it cheesy.

I remember my first day..... I remember saying to myself as I left my appartment that I was going to come home a different woman, that this was going to change me forever. That I was going DOWN!!!! I was in desperate need of money so I sucked it up.

When I got to the club I wanted to dance at; it was closed!! So I went to the next best thing, and I've been there ever since, and its the best thing!!! I thought I was going to cry at my first dance, but turns out everything was really cool and the customer was very nice. I was very excited to go on stage and I did very well, lucky for me I'd been working in a SC before as a waitress. I made 400$ that night, and I remember saying to this girl I knew that I loved my new job; she looked at me like I was from Mars!!!

It took me about 4 months to get my style down; now i am known as the girl who dances a lot. I like to think my style is very graceful and spunky. ( I dance on pointe shoes for crying out loud!!) I love the stage and I am always trying to find new ways and new moves to improve it.

Madonna IS the queen and she always knows how to get me in the mood and I think I'm the only stripper that dances to U2. I love my job!!

BTW, I didnt come home a different woman just a richer one!! $$$$
The first idea is always the best idea.
