    Default Problems with foundation

Does anyone have problems with their foundation?

I've stopped using foundation in the past year because it seemed to make me look more wrinkly. So, now I use only face powder.

However, I need a foundation because my skin is so uneven and is breaking out.

Maybe I'm using the wrong kind or using it the wrong way. Anyone have any advice?

Btw, I used to use Neutrogena foundation and now where their powder.

Some foundation formulations crease or bead up if they're cheap or not right for your skin type (Cover Girl is notorious for this.)
Visit the Clinique counter at your local mall for a consultation on your skin type and needs. You can then start trying different kinds of coverup. There are plenty good drugstore brands, but some feel happier with special department store brands. Pick what you like best.

l'oreal's stick make-ups work really well for filling in holes of all sorts-- wrinkles, acne scars, whatever. its not as expensive as department store make-up, but it works really well.

I love revlon's Light deffusing tint. It feels light and looks as if I am not wearing any. I use Coty airspun powder. For the reasons you listed, that's the same reason that I am wearing this combination. Plus I have really dry skin. One of my secrets to cure this is to pack vaseline, vitamin-E, or mix either of those with olive oil, on my face. Then wet a hand towel and heat it up in the microwave and put it on my face. Leave it on for a while and wipe of the excess. It really hydrates my skin and my make-up looks nice and light, not caked and wrinkled.

I know that you are asking about foundation not a quick fix for dry skin, but if you have dry skin it could be causing the wrinkled effect. Also, some foundations are just thicker than others. You could also try a tinted moisturizer such as the one Nivea makes. I like it. Also, always use a sponge never fingers! You can also dampen the sponge, it makes foundation look even and light.

BedHead has just come out with a makeup line, and their cream foundation is AWESOME! It's really silky, and a little goes a looooong way. I also have gigantic pores on either side of my nose, and I found that this stuff really helps with that.

I use a powder instead of a foundation.... if I have a blemish or dark circles under my eeys I use a light concealer instead of all over foundation. I've found that using powder with a light bronzer dusted on my cheekbones looks more natural anyhow.....
