Just take this as a lesson to always wear jeans/chaps/or both while riding...
BF and I were heading up the HWY on his Harley after purchasing our wedding rings at a store down south of Denver. Out of nowhere, something slammed into my left shin. It felt like I had been hit with a sledgehammer!Barely able to hang on, I sobbed as he got us off of the HWY and onto a side street. He helped me off the bike to the ground and we pulled up the leg of my chaps. My shin was rapidly swelling and near the size of a softball. I thought that there was a broken bone for sure! Ambulance came, hospital, x-rays. Thank God for those chaps! I would have been in much worse shape today without them!
No broken bones and we have no idea what happened. Maybe kids were throwing rocks from the bridge above, maybe a part came off of someone's car. Who knows...Thankfully, I won't be out of work too long...can't wear 8"spikes with my shin sticking out like a big, ugly wart and trobbing like a MF!
Just be careful ladies...be sure to protect your bodies while riding...I have definately learned my lesson!
