    Default Self Improvement Thread

    Hello Ladies

My name is Tina, and I have been reading this forum for a while, but did not register until today.

I am not a stripper at this time (maybe someday ), but I am a part time phone sex operator.

I have found this forum to be an extremely valuable resource, full of information on topics near and dear to my heart, like tanning, diet, exercise, make-up, hair, etc.

I consider myself attractive, but have a ways to go before I would consider myself truly HOT. The look I am going for is super sexy babe, a la Pamela Anderson, Carmen Electra, Christina Aguilera, etc.

To get to that level, I need to:

    1. Diet and exercise....doing low carb, with particular emphasis on veggies. As for exercise, I've been doing Pilates and The Firm dvd's...I'd like to order the Carmen Electra dvd's...anyone using those ?

    2. Grow my hair...it is currently shoulder length....I'd like it to reach my bra-line.

    3. Achieve my ultimate hair color and condition- pretty close to the color now...golden brown with blonde highlights. I like it super shiny, straight, and sleek, but have had a hard time with that until recently. I've discovered this new Matrix sleek flatiron spray...protects hair from heat damage up to 450 degrees...great stuff

    4. Perfect my self-taning method- currently using L'Oreal Sublime Bronze. Having a bit of trouble with the hands and feet.

    5. Have cosmetic dental work done on my upper and lower front teeth...I currently have 3 veneers and 1 crown on the uppers. I'd like to replace them with lighter (white-white) restorations, and have the lowers done to match.

    6. BA surgery- I'm currently a D cup, but, as a result of gaining and losing so much weight over the years, the "girls" are not sitting as high on my chest as I'd like. I'd like to be able to take the bra off sometimes, ya'know ?

What I would like to do, if no one objects, is post to this thread every day, detailing the steps I have done to help me realize my goals. I can think of no where else that I could find a group of hot, sweet, appearance savvy girls to whom I can look to for inspiration, support, and motivation.

Is this cool with everyone here ? Will ya help me ?

P.S. I am going full tilt with my self improvement plan starting here and now, and I hope to make significant progress towards my goals by Memorial Day of 2005...at which point I'll post before and after pics so y'all can see the end result.

Why don't you have a breast lift done instead of implants since you already have large breasts? It'd be much safer.

I had looked into getting a lift a while ago, and the surgeon had explained at the time that, since my problem was a loss in volume, small implants to replace what's been lost would be the best choice...though, before I actually have any surgery, I plan to get a second opinion

After reading the black mold in breast plants thread I've decided not to get implants. I'd rather have small healthy boobs than not at all, lol. But to each his or her own.

Thanks so much for your input, Orchid and Aussie

I certainly have some homework to do !!!

    For today, August 16th:
    1. Diet and exercise
Homemade coleslaw for breakfast and lunch
Salad with lean steak for dinner
64 ounces of water (I will eventually work up to 128 ounces per day)
Tea with lemon and liquid Splenda for the "sweet tooth"
    Pilates DVD
    45 minute walk

    2. hair- Queen Helene cholesterol treatment....no heat appliances.

    3. tan- shave and exfoliate well. Apply self tanner.

    5. teeth- contact my dentist's office to schedule a consultation.

    6. BA - too soon for a consultation...want to be close to my ideal weight first, as I may have a mini tummy tuck, as well. I will research types and shapes today.

    Hello Ladies

    Hi and welcome Tina!!!

    1. Diet and exercise....doing low carb, with particular emphasis on veggies. As for exercise, I've been doing Pilates and The Firm dvd's...I'd like to order the Carmen Electra dvd's...anyone using those ?
Carmen's DVDs are over-rated. Don't bother wasting your money. Look into the S-Factor book by Sheila Kelley...she's also coming out with DVD's for dancing and pole dancing...highly recommended!! http://www.sfactor.com

    4. Perfect my self-taning method- currently using L'Oreal SublimeBronze. Having a bit of trouble with the hands and feet.
I love this tanner! I use it all the time!! To perfect the hands and feet, use sparingly...rub in well...get in between the toes and fingers...as you are applying to toes and fingers, curl them under to get in the creases (so you don't have the white lines). Flex your foot as you are applying the tanner to your heels. Wash your palms only...scrub the palms actually and then rinse the cuticles on your nails. Takes a little practice, but within a few apps...you'll be a pro!

    6. BA surgery- I'm currently a D cup, but, as a result of gaining and losing so much weight over the years, the "girls" are not sitting as high on my chest as I'd like. I'd like to be able to take the bra off sometimes, ya'know ?
I know what you mean...I had a D cup, but after having a baby and breast feeding, I have lost a lot of volume in my breasts. My doc has told me that a lift would work ok...but since the FILLING is gone...in order to get the full look, I would need implants...still debating, though.

What I would like to do, if no one objects, is post to this thread every day, detailing the steps I have done to help me realize my goals. I can think of no where else that I could find a group of hot, sweet, appearance savvy girls to whom I can look to for inspiration, support, and motivation.
    Post away!!

P.S. I am going full tilt with my self improvement plan starting here and now, and I hope to make significant progress towards my goals by Memorial Day of 2005...at which point I'll post before and after pics so y'all can see the end result.
Sounds good to me!! Happy changing!!

    Hey Sweetie,

First welcome and i am glad you found us...

I was in your same boat last year... I was 220 and ever since I was little and could remember I wanted to be a dancer its like a lifetime dream for me...

So here is what I did...

I got into a gym ASAP I go to 24hour fitness. I got on a good diet plan that I could stick to. And I got active every single day.

I didn't let anyone know about my secert dream just me. Which was good for me because on those hard days which you will encounter you just have to keep pushing yourself.

I also visualize myself alot being up on stage and I dance for one hour a day in the shoes and boy do you sweat!

Second, Sweetie I have the Carmen Electra DVD and I will give them to you I have all 5 just pm me. I also LOVE THE S-FACTOR BOOK its only 10-15 bucks and sooo worth it.

About the Lift I am right with you sister from all my weight loss my boobs aren't like Carmen's or Pam but hey men like them lol. So once i start dancing I will look into it until then I love my girls.

I am living proof that this can be a goal you can reach I promise you. I am now 147 and don't have any hanging skin but i am 24.

YOU CAN DO THIS SWEETIE I PROMISE JUST KEEP THIS GOAL IN MIND. POST ON HERE AND LET US ALL KNOW YOUR PROGROSS!

I am trying out on Monday and I am scared, but very excited. You can do this sweetie believe me you can. PM anytime you want for any further info okay!

    Keep it up sweetie!

Thanks so much for the ecouragement

Honeygymgirl- I know you'll do GREAT at your tryout. You've worked long and hard to get to where you are, and your transformation is inspiring !!! Thanks for the advice...I found a gym that opens at 5am, and I'll be joining tomorrow morning.

Venus- thanks for the warm welcome and the tanner tips. ...I gotta avoid those white lines on my knuckles !!!
Also, I checked out the Sfactor...ordered a DVD.

Aussie- thanks again for the encouragement

Today, I ate a Caeser side salad for lunch, and a big salad with lean steak for dinner.

I didn't drink as much water as I wanted to, but I'm trying to make up for it now (glug-glug)...

My consultation with my dentist is scheduled for Sept. 2nd...hopefully, she won't charge me a zillion dollars ers:. I picked up some Crest premium whitestrips to lighten the teeth I'm not having crowned/veneered. I want the restorations to be as white as possible, and I want the rest of my teeth to match. If only someone would invent a bleach that would lighten veneers and crowns...

Well, I gotta run and take some phone sex calls (gotta pay for all this somehow !!!), then it's

again...you guys are the best !!!

Joined the gym today...much beter than my last one

There are spinning, Pilates, and step classes each nite at 7:30, which works out perfectly, cuz I work until 7:00.

There's also a rock climbing wall, and every machine imaginable. I have an appointment with a personal trainer on Monday...in the interim, I'm gonna hit as many classes as I can.

I had a salad with steak for lunch, and one with grilled eggplant (I love my Foreman grill k for dinner.

did better with the water...64 ounces. I gotta drink more...

Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better

Oh, I forgot to mention...make sure that you keep a picture journal as well. Take a front/back pic of you now...and then another front/back pic in about 4 weeks...and so on. On those pics write the date, your dress size, your weight (and height), and BFP.

What happens to a lot of people (since they see themselves everyday) they don't see the changes that are going on. With the pics, you see HOW MUCH has changed...and it helps keep you motivated. Sounds like you are doing well, so far...just one question...how many times a day are you eating?

The picture journal is a great idea...thanks, Venus

I'm eating two meals (lunch and dinner) and occasional protein/fat snacks (i.e. a hard boiled egg, a string cheese, a handful of almonds) as needed. I know I should eat breakfast, but I just can't face food that early (unless I'm hung over, then I'm starved !!!).

Been doing really well with the food and water...went to a wedding last night and passed up the cake and ice cream ...yay !!!

Going to the doctor tomorrow. I think I need glasses ....though I'll only wear them for reading and working on the computer.

Then, later on, I have an appointment at the gym with the personal trainer. I'm specifically interested in toning my stomach, my upper arms, and my thighs. The plan is cardio 5 days a week, Pilates twice a week, and weight training every other day. I am super motivated !!!

WTG!! However, you will find that you do much better when you eat breakfast. Even if you drink down a protein shake in the morning...it helps get your body on track...you will find that you most likely have more energy throughout the day.

You should be putting something in your body every 2-3 waking hours. If you don't want to eat a full breakfast, then eat a fruit...2 hours later, have a healthy snack, 2 hours later have a light lunch...then a light snack, dinner, light snack, bed. It'll keep your body from going into starvation mode and your body will be much more willing to shed anything it doesn't need.

    Keep up the great work!!

Wow....it's been a long time since I posted...

I tend to do that- start something (i.e., my "daily" post) with the best of intentions, then let it die Besides that, I didn't want to bore everyone to tears with monotonous daily updates

Anyway, the diet and exercise, and hair portions of my plan are right on track. Based upon the rave reviews I read here, I sarted taking Tonalin CLA (6,000 mg per day) and the Wal-Mart Hair pills (2 per day). My skin's never been softer, my cellulite's GONE, and my hair's long, strong, shiny, and healthy

I've become less stringent in regards to carbs, choosing instead to limit calories overall, with a balance of different foods. This was a tough transition for me, as I've spent years and years restricting one thing or another....whether it be fats or carbs, protein, etc. I read in Margaret Cho's blog that she lost weight when she finally just started eating "normally". When nothing is truly off-limits, binging ceases to be an issue...though, I must say, I sometimes miss the Sunday night "I'm-starting-a-diet-tomorrow-so-I'd-better-eat Ben-and-Jerry's-tonight" pigouts

As for the teeth- I've had them whitened (Bravo take-home, through my dentist...GREAT stuff), and am getting 6 Captek crowns after New Year's (insurance red tape ). I've looked into all the options, and feel that this is the best choice for me. Really beautiful...porcelain bonded to gold...and I'm going movie star white !!!

I've laid off the tanning for the winter, but, as soon as spring arrives, a friend and I are investing in a professional airbrush system...we'll "do" each other

Though I haven't posted in a long while, I read every day, and am continually inspired to be the best I can be . After all, who is better versed in beauty and fitness than dancers ? Thanks so much...You're all BEAUTIFUL !!!

Congrats on keeping this up. I have always wanted to stick with something like you are doing. Mostly what I need to stick to is school related. I always tell myself " ok, I can get home from school, do a little homework, then get on with my day", but some how the doing homework part of my day only lasts the first week or so.

As for excersize, I like to jump rope a little each day. I do it about ten or fifteen minutes each morning to wake me up, and two or three more times through out the day when ever I have time. My brother, who used to be a trainer says jumping rope will do more in a shorter period of time then even jogging will.

As for my goals looks wise :
whiten teeth, grow hair long, and once and for all, stop breaking out and picking at my skin. Even though they arent bad, I do have tiny scars. Also I'd like to get really big arms. I think women look sooo sexy with extreamly muscular arms. I am petite though, and don't know if I can stick with it as long as I'd have to in order to make that happen.
Well, good luck to us both, and anyone else improving themselves.
