    here is some info:

    in short:
its an antioxidant (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=antioxidant%20), anticoagulant (blood thinning), anti-inflammatory, gene regulation and immune function. "...may reduce the risk of prostate cancer and be of benefit in people with either cystic fibrosis or preclampsia."

http://www.wholehealthmd.com/refshel...25,906,00.html says "....holds some promise for preventing and possibly easing complications of such disorders as congestive heart failure, alcoholism, cancer, HIV infection, lupus, multiple sclerosis and nail problems." "Promote healing of burns, eczema, and other skin problems"

personally: I take it in a vitamin E and A lotion. (http://www.kissmyface.com/Product/Ki...ers/0201616EA/) I like the lotion, it smells good and my skin is nice and soft. There is also some debate over its effects on scars and streach marks... some swear it will help, others say it makes them worse....when my incisons heal I will put my lotion on it anyway......

Be careful tho...everything in moderation, even vitamins! Try a multi-vitamin instead and save the capsules for other useful things. At night I burst a capsule and use it on my lips, cuticles, toes....anyplace that needs softening.

I use the E capsules on my lips too, very moisturizing in the winter!

you dont need to use capsules if you arent swallowing it...

Just buy a little bottle of it....just makes it easier...i use it on and around my lips in the winter....sometimes my face gets a little dry from shaving.

And I put it on anytime i get a cut or scrape that might leave a scar

If I take a nap before going to work, I bust 2 open and pack it on my face. My brother had a bad gash on his head. It scabbed over and he applied vitamin E. After a few days he lifted the whole scab off in one and it healed with no scar. I received a beauty tip from my brother LOL.

Oh also for ladies with BA, it is supposed to help prevent against the implants from capsulizing, my ps insisted I take vitamin E.

Vitamin E is good for the heart number 1. And many other parts of our body as well. Do a google search on vitamin E gel caps, they are they purest form, and will sit inside the gel capsule for quite a long time before losing potency.

Me myself i can't use vitamin E directly on my skin, as vitaminn E can be highly allergenic to some people on contact with skin.

I use scar ease now for the skin, works very well.

Be careful when taking E orally, as this vitamin is fat soluble, not water soluble, meaning you wont pee out excess, but store it in your body instead. Too much is dangerous.

Well here, this is a cool site i have been checking out for a few years, however new info. comes in and old info. changes as we learn more about vitamins. Me i stay within the least amount of extra vitamins added, that way i know i should be ok.
