    Default need help in Az.

Ok some of you know but for those that don't I have just recently moved to Az from Ct. and I am finding it very hard to get hired out here. I understand that I am not as small as most of the dancers out here and that my boobs are still real but I am not ready to retire yet. Back home I never had a problem getting hired at any club I wanted to work in aside from one. But here I guess it is totally different.

Basically what I am asking of anyone who lives or used to live here in the PHX/Scottsdale area is......are there any nice clubs where a thicker dancer(no not fat) can get hired and make money? Or I am just wasting time in hopes I can dance for a few more years out here and I should just give it up now?

I don't want a ghetto club, nor do I want a high milage club either... just a club where natural dancers who enjoy a good steak and potato dinner and still will have dessert too can get hired lol.....no offence to anyone that is way thin (wish i still was) or those who have their boobs done ( in due time I will have mine also) it is just that I am not built that way and it seems that those dancers are all the clubs out here are interested in.

Anyway any advice about some of the clubs out here is appreciated....thanx!!!

Where have you tried auditioning at so far?

If you still keep having a hard time, would you consider waitressing at a club instead or are you set on still dancing?

Deanna, I work at a Scottsdale topless club, but I do know of a few other places to try......the CandyStore up on CaveCreek has always been fun, lots of real girls, seem to have a good time.......BombShells is also one to try......HiLiter.....those are the clubs I hear are more open minded when it comes to hiring dancers........maybe some of the other girls can help you out more? I know there are more (we have SO many clubs here!), but I can't think of them!

What about the Great Alaskan Bush Company in PHX? The one here in Anchorage has no problem hiring curvy dancers.

I'm a bit curvy, and when I lived in Tucson I worked at TD's, no problem. It would be an hour and a half drive for you, and I'm not sure it would be worth it. I worked at the Bush Co in Pheonix a couple times but I'm not sure they would have hired me if I hadn't worked at their Alaska club - plus that place is way too much drama. I also worked at Christies, but I hear they've tightened up their hiring standards.

Have you tried Cheerleaders in Tempe or PT's in North Phoenix? Or how about Centerfolds. All are decent clubs.

I've been working at the Candy Store in Tucson, and they hired me no problem. Signed me up as soon as I walked in the door.

I don't recommend coming down to Tucson... I'm sure you can easily do better up in Phoenix.

Yeah Tucson is a bit far for us to drive, there's so many choices out here in the Phoenix area it seems a bit overwhelming(too many boobies, too little time?)

Lol!! Everytime I come up to the Phoenix area, especially at the Scottsdale Fashion Square (where I donate my time and money... ) I can't believe the amounts of fake boobies there are. It's like it comes free with the purchase of a home.

The Phoenix metro area has become very competitive because so many people are moving there and they have a glut of dancers which allows the clubs to be choosy.

Plus it is still summer and the slow season.

You may have to just get hired where you can and keep pushing the better clubs until you can get in while you work on toning up.

Tucson or Yuma aren't quite as picky as they don't have as many dancers beating down their doors.

    Good job Deanna!!

I'm sure you'll be able to get night shifts soon. Have fun and make tons of money!!

Like Sitri says, the winter will be nice. It's just sucky that we are back in the 100 and 105s lately. Hopefully everything will cool down a bit by October....

Lets hope we get 90s and 80s weather this year. Last year it jumped from the 100s to the 70s in late Oct. I didn't get any convertible weather!

I know!! I remember years when it was too hot to go trick or treating on Halloween! (Well, I went anyway, but costumes had to be rearranged.) And then there are the years where you have to add a sweater to the costume! Weather is a fickle, fickle, friend.
