You probably want to size up. I usually wear a size 8.5 but in dancer shoes I wear a 9. I have ordered from snaz75 and the size 9 fit me perfectly.

It is also a good idea to check the brand name (Pleaser, Ellie, etc.) and if possible get aquainted with their sizing. Maybe go to a local store and try on a pair there. Several stores in my area have Pleaser shoes but for twice snaz's price.
For me, Pleasers are perfect in a size 6, open toed, and size 7, closed toed - although in real life I'm a 6.5.

I'm a half size, I check out the fredericks of hollywood website, they've got half sized shoes there that are really cute, some are inexpensive some are not.

Oh! And shoe inserts can help you get a half size if whole sizes really don't work for you. They also keep your foot from sliding (especially in stockings!) down so your toes are hanging over the edge.

I like snaz75 a lot, I have ordered a few pairs from them. Be care to always go a size bigger in closed toes shoes.

I'm the same as Hardkandee- 1/2 size up for closed toe and 1/2 size down for open toe.

yes, 1/2 size down for open toe. If the plastic is too snug blast it with a hair dryer for 30 seconds, slide in your foot and the plastic will mold to your form as it cools.

They are usually called shoe halters, and you can find them at most shoe repair shops.

Yup, exactly. And no you don't have to glue them in, so you can switch them to other pairs if you need to.

When buying an Open-toe high heel shoes, it is normally recommended to buy the same size you wear in a flat shoe. When buying closed toe high heels, it is normal to purchase 1/2 size larger than your normal flat shoe size. All shoes on this site are only available in whole sizes, please order the next largest size if you normally wear a half size. (i.e. Size 7 ½ = Size These tips are taken from industry standards and should only be used as a guide for buying the proper size.

Generally I go down for open toe and up for closed.

I'm a 10.5. For open toe shoes I wear a 10 since they stretch. My boots are 11s. I have a pair of 9s that don't have straps on the top and they fit, being small helps keep them from flying off (sort of...)

If you get the clear plastic kind and they're a bit tight, shove them on and heat them with a hair dryer.

My problem with open toes isn't that they're tight (I have very narrow feet) but that my toes extend past the end of the shoe. And if I go up a size, my bony feet slide all around. Grrrr!

I wear 9's in normal shoes but in the clear open toed stripper shoes I prefer and 8. They will stretch out. They're actually getting loose now.
