Wow. I was just abou to leave my Manhattan club to look for one that made me more money but fromm what im reading i should think myself lucky to be earning minimum $300 mon-thurs and 600-700 other days.
Im so grateful im in a club in the City now
are you in Baltimore now? I am in Baltimore, looking for a place to work. I worked on the block before, but it was a pain to get a job since i am black and beautiful! Can you suggest any places where i would earn $200 a shift? Thanx!!!Originally Posted by Bridgette

first thing, run like hell from the "block"in Bmore.
well i was there before and it was okay. i made $150 to $300 a night, but other girls made more because they were caucasian. at most places, i was the only black girl. also, there is a larry flynt's hustler club there. and scores is opening. i am wondering if i would do well there.
When I lived in Maryland I made 700-800 consistently, weekdays. And on the weekends, I usually 700-1100 depending on the crowd. This is with no lap dancing, no VIP, strictly stage dancing. Now I am in California and the money is horrible. I usually make 200-450 working in a very high mileage club. And, it is way more expensive to live here.
Bands will make me dance..........
honeygirl: thanks for the input. i was in Pasadena, CA to go to school last year. i tried spearmint rhino twice, then went to another one as a waitress and didn't get hired. i am sure it was either because i was black or that i put my actual age on the form. i am 32. usually they don't even let you past the entrance if you are 26 or older! after a few weeks of doing the song and dance for other places, i got two jobs and just went to school. i did my internship in Paris and now i am in Baltimore trying to scrape some money together.
Achick, I know lots about MD/ DC area clubs. Some clubs were mini gold mines three years ago, now it's so-so. But, a girl with the right attitude (think POSITIVE) can make lots of $$$. I noticed many of the older dancers made considerable more than me, you need a niche..............pm me if you want details.Originally Posted by achick

Okay, achick. I don't think you are not making money because you are black. I think it's because of your attitude. Sure, there are lots of racist people, but thankfully, there are way more that love black women. How well did those other girls at the Baltimore club hustle? In southern CA, black girls make so much money--like $800 on average per night. If you have one of those "this and that happens to me only because I'm black" attitudes, it puts a negative cloud over everything and makes it all seem like an ethnicity thing. Is that your pic in the avatar? If it is, it's definitely your attitude, not your color. It can be hard, but try a more positive outlook. You will be amazed at how things can turn around, and how you can soon discover that it had nothing to do with your looks.

wow, i had no idea, ithought everyone was making like 600 dollars a night.
In general the economy sucks around where I live so 150 a night is like gold here, so i dont think thats bad at all.

OK gang, it has been six months since this thread was first posted. To paraphrase what John Kerry said in his campaign, are you better off today (nightly earnings wise) than you were six months ago ? Living in the northeast, I can say that club earnings around here are DEFINITELY lower now - however a lot of that has to do with seasonality.

i am, sort of. around that time i switched clubs and immediately started making more money per shift, but it stabilised pretty quickly. since then, i am making a little more per hour than when i first started at this club, but not significantly more. i don't know how to feel about that. i guess i should be glad that i can earn steady money no matter what day it is (but i make more than 200$/shift averagely). but i'm increasingly feeling that i haven't tried hard enough to maximise my stripper-potential, so i'll probably try travelling to work again and see if that pans out this time. i'd hope others are doing better or have at least achieved steady regular income also.

Sorry to just add a hand, but I thought I'd weigh in...I'm doing about $60-$100 an night. Really. No insults/quitting advice please. Thanks![]()

Wow I get pissed off when I leave with only 200-300 a night. I work on bourbon St in New Orleans.. I have seen nights where I make less than 100, but usually average is 400+ ... I guess you just get so used to the money, and you get greedy :x
The late fall and winter months, even into spring the weather here in the midwest (Chicago for me) really can suck, factor in people with less disposable income due to inflation, the crazy taxes here in Chicagoland and the price of gas, not too mention the never ending sell out of good jobs to outsourcing overseas, and it's no wonder earnings are WAY down...talk to other service industry people, and at least around Chicago, other than the big shows that come to town this time of year late fall-spring, there isn't a whole lot going on and earnings are crappy...then they pick back up in the late spring when stuff gets nice again...I noticed the same trend in AZ, when we lived there, particularly after 9/11 and the Christmas season that follwed, I was still dancing then and there was absolutely ZERO money...let's face it, these are rotten economic time despite what the media and the gov try to brainwash us to the contrary...I say be happy with who you are and what you're doing...if 100-200 a night keeps you happy, then fine...if it's more or much more as it is for some that will keep you happy, then go for it with all you've got...in whatever way will keep you happy...
so far as different costs in different areas, this IMHO is soooooooo subjective and based on too mnay factors to list here...for example, I/we have lived in or have reliable sources in...several different areas of the country, and the nutty part is that around all big cities, for the most part they are just flat out expensive...but within the area around those cities, it's been my experinece that it varies greatly from what part of town or burb you are in...now NYC and SanFran are simply nuts IMHO as is Honolulu...then you have Chicago and LA are basically nuts, just not as bad as those mentioned, and the other "major" cities come in close behind, but have a wierd way of evening out if housing and taxes (although IMHO these are too high evrywhere) are less, then wages are depressed, if wages are nice and seem good, then the cost of living is waay outta whack like SanFran, NYC, Chicago, etc...I/we live about an hour west outiside the city in a nice burb, but by no means one of the top burbs, or wealthy areas, and you are hard pressed to find a 1500sf townhome for less than 205,000 or more, depending upon area and subdivision, much more...single family homes are simply outrageous...gas hanging around 1.85-2.00 for 87 octane, and there is talk of raising our state income tax...okay I'm rambling, but your own happiness and tastes also dictate what your cost of living is...if we were happy in a 2 bedroom trailer west of here, we could rent/own that for like 400-500 a month...drive a crappy used car etc...it just all depends on what YOU want and what will make YOU happy in life...me I'm, headng back to dancing after a few years off since I want the money to help responsibly relocate to AZ again, since I really do not like living in ILL...and lucky for me my guy will live wherever I want since he can move/do his business anywhere...

Oooo! Oooo! *hand flailing* MeeeeeeEEEEeeee!
I usually make about $100 - $130 a night. I only work 1 - 2 days a week though. I think that's why, or at least that's what I get told it is. But I dont cry about it, its my 2nd of 3 jobs after all. Well, 4 if you count any modeling/sessions I snag on the side.

I was working in WV..and at first I was like..okay, who is going to come out here and see us...lol. Some nights were bad...we even closed early and I'd walk out with like $50. On some average nights I'd make 150-250. There were some nights I walked out with close to 600. I still haven't figured out what it is..lol. The lapdances def. gave you a boost...but I made most of my money on stage, so who knows
I know this was a typo but it really made me laugh...maybe I'm just tired and am easily amused right now...I only get scheduled for two shits a week![]()

lol..i didn't even notice that
On a "shitty" day I make between $100-$200, on a "good" day more like $400-$500. A great day? More like $700. But I think I live in a location where the weather is good ( so driving in bad weather won't keep em away) and it is one of the nicer clubs in town(attracts an upscale clientele).
But I hustle too. Even if there are only a few customers around. It only takes one person to make your night! If it is crowded I'll only sit with someone for 2-3 songs, and when I ask someone "Would you like me to take you over there to the couch so I can have my way with you?" I expect a "yes". ( I have learned that when I ask a customer if they want a dance and expect them to say "yes", then that is what usually happens. I have no idea why.) I don't know, it has helped me...perhaps it will help you too.
Also...$100 a day isn't so bad when you think in relative terms. When I waited tables I'd have to bust my ass for $100. Now I don''t have to work very hard for it. And you'd better believe that I am VERY thankful!!!
God luck my dear. Now git out there and hustle!![]()
I have been working in the seattle area this past year and its the worst out of the 6 states and 15+ clubs I have worked in . I traveled to Portland with some girlfriends and I made a killing in comparrison . I plan on going back soon , 300 in five hours just in stage tips in pretty damn good for a thrusday . I am sorry that you aren't making money that really sucks . I know that yousaid that you don't want to travel but its clear that you are stuck in those ruts that we get in whe we stay one place to long . There definetly are alot of clubs inthe area to chose from , have you tried working in a less classy place smoewhere where you are the best looking girl by far ?? The north west is not very great for our business thats why I m planning on mvoing back to the East coast asap . Good luck anyways .

Add to that, the construction going on right now in "our" parking lot, and the local scandal and the money is bad for all the girls. So that's why starting Tuesday, I'm going on a little road trip till things settle a bit.
