    Default Favorite Sammich PLACE

Now that we know everyone's favorite sammich, what is your favorite shop to go to for subs or whatnot.

I just tore apart a 14 incher from our local Delaware Subs. Does Delaware have good subs or something, cause this place was named after it.

My second favorite is the local Thundercloud Subs, but their sammiches are much smaller.

Hate Subway: last time I was there, the worker was on the verge of going postal and yelled at me for wanting carrots on my sub. Mind your business and make my lunch, subbitch!!

So that's that, another irreverant poll!

Definately local places... especially deli's!! They make the best sammiches..

Of course, nothing beats my kitchen. I can sling up some mean ole' subs and BLT's.

If I'm traveling abroad, I'll hit Quiznos. Just about anything on their toasted wheat is pretty good. And definately YUCK on Subway. Their sammiches have no substance to them at all.. plain and tasteless.

It doesn't matter if you're somebody in this world, it rather matters you mean the whole world to somebody.

    D'Angelos (regional chain like subways-style).
For pizza I go local, but sandwiches are sufficiently undifferentiated to make it worthwhile to go for selection and convenience.

I agree with Monty. I LOVE D'Angelos. I was even an assistant manager there for a year quite a while ago. They're the best, though, in my opinion. Especially their steak & cheese grinders! Woot!

When I was pregnant though, I could not get enough of Subway! I was addicted to their Italian grinders.. mmm! Hubby used to bring dinner home from there almost every night.. LOL

In terms of chains, I like the places where the subs are hot much better. I like the Carbonara sub from Quizno's.

Outside of that, I looooove a Peacemaker po' boy (fried shrimp and oysters) from Acme Oyster House in NOLA. Damn they're carbtastic!

I picked Quizno's even though I despised those atrocious "space monkeys". Their commercials have been really bad. My favorite place though is Mama Nois. The best one is in Ellerbe, NC. It should be world famous. They have ppl cooking in the back that are just learning English, so they cook with all kinds of spices, especially garlic. The steak& cheese subs and the spring rolls are absolutely amazing. Dammit, I miss home now.
Almost forgot the Panera Bread store. Omigod, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Turkey and fresh spinach on Foccacia bread (sp?). They have one in St. Louis, but several in NC. Lexington and Raleigh that I know of. MMmmmmmmm

I like Subway. My favorite is a foot-long turkey breast on white with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and mustard.Okay I'm getting hungry now.

LOL. I heard that. Their teriyaki salad isn't very good either. I don't think Subway would even be that popular if that one guy Jared didn't lose all that damn weight eating the sandwiches.

Local places are the best. When I used to go to School there was this place called "Our Heros" that made a colossal sub. You had lunch and dinner and sometimes a snack too in one little bundle. There's this other mom and pop shop that made the best hot sandwiches, don't remember their name though.
