    Default newbie

Hey all! I am completely new to all this, and need some help. OK, I finally got into shape and I'm ready to start dancing, but am worried that I don't know how to do anything on stage. ??? How would I go about learning some awesome moves that would impress the guys? I am totally willing to practice and learn from following along with someone. Any ideas (that aren't too hard to understand w/o seeing)? Any help is greatly welcomed!! Thanks!

Try Shelia Kelley's Book "The S-Factor". It's a great book. You can get it online or at most Border's book stores. It has lots of easy to follow pictures of sexy dancer moves . Take care!

If you go online you can also purchase the DVD. She has her intermediate DVD and pole work DVD coming out the second half of September. Have fun....

Ok so, i'm not a dancer either, but i've absorbed so much information from this site...and personally know enough strippers, that I might as well be. Anyways,
If I were you i'd visit a couple local clubs...watch the other girls there, find the ones making bank and take mental notes on what they are doing...do they seem to make a lot of their money on stage? or is it all through lap dances?
Is it a high/low mileage club? Could you see yourself working there? When you get closer to the time when you are ready to audition, buy yourself shoes and break them in by practicing dancing in your house in them. Everyone on here is super helpful with getting the newbies started on the right track, and they'll answer pretty much anything.
Hope that helped ya out a bit!

Has anyone ever told you that you resemble whats her name from the lord of the rings?Lead singer from aerosmiths daughter?
Im havin a brain fart and cant think of her name.
anyways,i agree with your advice.Go into a few different clubs.Find moves that the girls are doing that YOU think is sexy.String a few of them together, spin around the pole a few times, and before ya know it,your set is over and its time to scoop up the money and get down from the stage.

Thanks you all! I have to save to get the book and to get some shoes to break in, but in the meantime I am gonna check out some clubs... Thanks again

And yes, I think Tiff looks a little like Liv Tyler.

From a guy's perspective, here's what to do. Do all those sexy moves that girls seem to think about from the age of twelve or so. Crawl and spread. If you get turned on, be relaxed about it and enjoy it. Smile and make eye contact. I've noticed that many new girls have the urge to stroke when they first remove their g-string; it's very sexy. Don't touch your abdomen; it looks awkward.

On another note, practice moving in those high-heels. Do knee exercises.

From another guy's perspective (not all customer's are like Dain, and not all are like me)....

In addition to the great advice from the other ladies so far, I always recommend making plenty of eye contact and to keep smiling. I look for dancers who are engaging and not staring off into space.

Pole tricks and other dance moves will come with time as you get to see others perform and have an opportunity to practice, but you can show a great smile right from the beginning.

    Best of Luck.
