    Default Lords of Acid

Has anyone ever danced to Lords of Acid, they have two really awesome songs that I think would be fun to dance to. One song is called "Pussy" and the other is "Spank My Booty." I am not a dancer but I think it would be cool for girls to dance to.

    I love the Lords!

Sorry to say "Pussy" is my least favorite song by them, I have heard it way too many times, and to me it gives a totally inaccurate idea of what the rest of their stuff is all about. A lot of dancers actually detest this song, and I don't blame them. But please don't take offense. Try listening to it three times a night, like at this one club where I used to hang out before I started DJing, and you might agree, lol.

For a more representative selection of their style, try these tracks.

"The Power is Mine"--perhaps the penultimate stripper song, great lyrics and an irresistable beat.

    "Slave to Love"
    "Move Over Rover"
    "As I Am"
"I Sit on Acid"-the track that put them on the map, and still a winner, though it was overplayed for a while back then.
"Stripper"--this one is good, great lyrics and naturally perfect for a SC, but doesn't wear well. Don't overdo it, as this one dancer I worked with tried to--she would ask for it every set.

LoL, yes I can see how hearing that song so much might wear on ones nerves. My cousin is a huge fan of LOA and gave me that cd, and I love them! I have never heard anything by them, being I am a die hard classic rock fan but really found their music appealing. Ill check out those tracks you listed, I think my cousin has every album they have put out. Is there a dfferent lead singer than the one who was originally in the band in the 80's?

My favorite is "the power is mine." It has a really good beat. Although "lick my boobs to please me" sort of makes me giggle. I also like "stoned on love" and "rubber doll."

I have to agree "pussy" and "booty" are sooooo overplayed, stripper is pretty good but does get on your nerves quickly
I'm not much of a "techno" guy but LOA is an awesome band, right up there with TKK in my opionion

Those who haven't should really check out some other New Beat stuff. As I said in another post, most used CD shops have tons of Various Artist New Beat comps in the dollar bins. Just some great stuff, ranging from horribly sexy to nasty and agressive.

There's a reason Hell and Gigolo are bringing it back into vogue.
