Its an NPR radio show I love. Listening to it right now. They are doing my favorite afro-influence region too, El Andaluz.

Cuban music is one of my faves, as well as Cape Verde and lots of African soukous.

Any suggestions for afro-inspired world music that would be good for a sexy club set oh music gurus???

The Francois K(evorkian) remix of Femi Kuti's "Sorry Sorry" is insane!!! It's the 'Old School Afro Dub'

Look at records by the Idjut Boys on Noid and USTAR records for some serious re-edits of afro music like their famous "Whoktish" (a Garth and Mark Farina staple)

Other greats are the Massive Attack remix of "Musst Musst" by Nusrast Ali Khan. And anything by Salif Keita.

Also "Soul Makossa" and "African Woman" by Manu Dibangu.

PM me for a more extensive selection... afro-disco is a passion of mine.
