Sometimes when I work days I'm too tired to do anything afterwards; it's usually better for me to work nights because my SO is usually up very late too, so our schedules mesh better. But otherwise it's not really a problem.

Yeah, it can be a big assed problem!!! My So and I have tried to make the best outta it though.

Through the week when I work I stay up to get them (hubby and kid) up for school and work them while they are gone I sleep then I am up when they get home.

We do homework and eat together, then kid gets ready for bed around the time I have to leave for work. Hubby usually goes to bed around 10pm, so i usually call him before he lays down to tell him I love him.

On weekends I leave work asap, to get home earlier and sleep so I can spend time with them. Sunday is usually the day we do nothing but hang out together.

It can be a pain, especially if you have younger kids (read, not in school). But if both of you are willing to make sacrifices, sometimes it can work out well.

I have always been with guys with day jobs, and it's not too much of a problem. I'm usually going to bed about the time they're getting up on workdays. On off days we tend to sleep and get up together. It can be a pain but I'm used to it after all these years, and my type of guy is laid back enough to deal with the weird schedule.

It's been so hard coordinating my schedule lately with school and work at the university right now. My so is home in the evenings and weekends, and I always want to be with him whenever I can.

Yeah having different schedules can be tricky sometimes. Me and my guy are getting ready to go through this when I go back to work. We both agreed that we didn't want our son to have to spend his time with a babysitter or in daycare so, my fiance will be working during the day while I watch our son, and then I'll have about an hour to spend with him when he comes home before I go to work at night.

    Um, yes.

    He works 7:30-3:30, I work 12-12 ish, 6 days a week.

We're both pretty Ok with 1 evening a week (for a few hours during a break) and Saturday night/Sunday morning/afternoon. For now.
