Default Question for those who have had kids

How did you get back into shape after having kids? Is there any way to get rid of that saggy pooch, other than a tummy tuck??? Also, can you recommend a good routine to help me? I'm in a size 4 right now, but I'm only 5' and at 5' being 112 lbs is still too heavy...Thanks!

I usggest giving Body Beautiful products a try. I talked a littel bit about them in the "Permanent Stretchmark Removal" thread. Not only does this product rid your body of stretch marks it also helps to tone that little pooch. Here is the link www.stretchmark.com
The products work internally and extrenally.
I would also recommend adding powdered Vitamin C ( it helps to repair and tone the skin, you want to get 5000-7500mg per day)
LPP protein ( also tones and firms the skin, take 2-4 tablespoons daily)
MSM powder ( which helps your body to produce collagen naturally)
Tonalin CLA ( This tones and firms the skin too and also makes it very soft. Take 4-6 tablets per day)
Try to get the kit from Body Beautiful not just 1 or 2 products. You'll start to see results right away. i have used all of these products and have recommended them to my friends too. They have also had excellent results. You also want to do a lot of ab work/excercises as well as good cardio and weight training if possible.
Let me know if you have any questions.
    Good luck,
    Farrah

I have had 3 pregnancies. 2 went to the 3rd trimester, and ended badly. SO...i have a beautiful daughter! And no stretch marks, i don't know why, skin stretches, so maybe it was all the different lotions i used on my boobs and stomache.

I do however have a small belly! I DO NOT want to lose this, soooo many men tell me i look very womanly!!!!!

I have learned to like my belly as a result of this, abs of steel...I'll leave that for the men!!

But if you want to tone again, get a book on toning the stomache, so many variations! Mix them up, have fun.
Also, at many pharmacy's now you can ask for an over the counter treatment to help with stretch marks. Prescription creams and lotions are out there too!

    Good luck,

    Pamela

Sweetie, I did lot's of sit-ups and ate right. I bounced back fast. Just keep up the cardio and you will get there too! Not everyone is the same, just keep at it, don't give up. Good luck!

I had 2 pregancies that ended badly as well. However my skin wasn't as forgiving as Pamela's. My stomach was a big source of pain for me, because it was a constant reminder of what I went through and I got tired of looking for the right g-string to hide my little pooch. Putting on body make-up to cover the stretchmarks and always telling the dj to be sure to cut the lights on my second song.
My friend's mom suggested having a tummy tuck (she had one)
I went to a PS who wanted to do slice me form side to side, which freaked me out too.
I searched for products to help me and have tried almost all of them. Then one day while I was shopping at Whole Foods in Houston, I say the Body Beautiful products and asked a clerk about them. Come to find out the owner of Body Beautiful used to work there too. The company was very small at the time and I was lucky enough to be able to get a lot of one on one guidance and support from them.
I learned so much about nutrition and healing the skin. They were a big blessing to me and I try to share as much info with others as I can.
A professional kit costs about $250 and lasts 4-6 months, the regular kit is under $100. The supplements I recommended above will cost around $50-$100. The total is way less than a tummy tuck will cost and its natural too!

I worked out through my entire pregnancy...took 8 weeks off (damn was I tired...LOL) and then went right back to working out.

If you find that you are "too flabby", then you may want to begin doing weight lifting along with your cardio. While you will not get the "body builder" body, you will tone up your muscles and tighten up the body. The more lean muscle mass you have, the more efficiently and quickly your body burns fat/calories.

I am going to give the Body Beautiful a try...I got rid of my pregnancy weight, but I did find that the little pooch is still there (with some stretch marks)...no matter how many sit-ups I do. ARRRGH! *I want Vaden's abs, dammit...* I think also, because my daughter was 3 weeks late, and I BLEW up like hot air balloon, I got those stretch marks. I didn't have ANY stretch marks until the week she was born...soooo...

I'm digressing...eat healthy, work out with weights and do cardio...and give that body beautiful a try...
