    Default club dilemma//stage moves

    so.
I went to a club tonight to check it out-

now, let me tell you my past experiences of SC- theyve been fully nude, you sit next to the stage to tip, and for your tip you get like...the dollar put in your shirt/mouth and taken out with mouth/boobs. so really, there isnt much dancing involved unless its dead.

so this club, is topless (which is a plus for now) but...
the girls just kind of accept the dollars with like a thank you/kiss on the cheek or whatever...so its not as much contact as the fully nude clubs here, so anyways..what Im trying to get at is that youre up on stage by yourself most of the time, so there is a lot of dancing...

what if I run out of things to do on stage??
are there any specific 'moves' to like...waste time on stage? (haha sorry-Im such a dork)

I think I might go audition tomorrow afternoon...they open at noon, so I could probably show up around 12:30-1 and do an audition without too much worry of making an ass out of myself in front of a ton of people...
    so yeah.

sorry for rambling ladies, but I hope you get the idea of what Im trying to say here..

    thanks

Just keep dancing. You should watch the other girls and try to pick up on what you like. It shouldn't really feel like "wasting time" when you're up there (though it might when it's slow), it should just feel like, well, dancing. You'll learn. Everyone starts out not really knowing what to do up there and most girls pick it up pretty quickly.

If your club allows floor work.....

You can always lie down on your back in the middle of the stage and move in very slow sensual maner.

You can arch your back, run your hands through your hair, touch your own chest, raise and lower your legs in a bicycle kick motion.

Just remember to keep it slow if your looking to waste time.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Even if it's slow and the customers are all sitting back from the stage you can try to make eye contact with someone and then use your body language to draw them to the stage. Make them feel as if you're putting on a little show just for them and hopefully they'll take the que to come up and tip you.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

I know there are times when it gets frustrating to be up on stage during a slow shift. If the club allows, I've seen dancers even get redressed. (Why show everybody the goods for free right?) If a guy approaches the stage then you can undress again. Personally, I have no problem with this; however, I would say even if you re-dress don't stop dancing. At least try to do something other than look bored and stare off into space. Even if none of the customers come up to tip you on stage, if you look bored up there, you may hurt your chances for getting dances later on.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Also, as Susan mentioned you can look to other dancers for ideas as well.

    Best of luck.
If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.

Pole tricks also help..."waste time" as you put it. Try to draw people's attention to the stage by making eye contact with them. Be as slow and sensual as possible and try to look like you like what you are doing...this helps get people up there.

It gets easier...when I first started dancing in Vancouver, I think I literally spit my coffee out when the agent told me that all stage shows are 18 minutes. 18 minutes! And no contact for tips here either, in fact in some clubs we can't even touch the money until we're done and covered up, let alone touch the customer.

So pole tricks, elaborate costumes, shower shows, paint shows and such are the norm 'round here to fill up time. Nowadays I barely even notice my time on stage, it doesn't seem long, but I sure remember that it used to!

I actually had a list of moves that I knew (floor and pole) that I memorized and referred to in my head when I ran out of stuff to do! Lol, dork!

If all else fails, make jokes and generally entertain- you don't have to be doing a move or being sexy all the time!

    Feature costumes for sale!
