    Default an annoying turn-off

Before I started dancing at the sc, I was a regular for a few weeks, observing the girls (how they interacted with customers, how they danced etc.), and as a customer, the MOST annoying thing most of the dancers did was complain endlessly in front of customers about how little $ they made that night. "I can't believe I only made $100! Its so slow...there's no one in there...waaa I'm not making money" blahblahblah. Their ungratefulness made me NOT want to spend money on the girl. As a new dancer, my expectations are none so any money I do recieve is a huge bonus. Sure, it sucks when you have a crappy night, but I don't think the customers need to hear all the girls bitching about it. On a bad night, I try to make the few guys who are there feel special, and am grateful for their presence if I want to make any money at all. Saying things like "There's no one here" in front of a customer makes him feel discounted and he will be less likely to spend money on a dance from a girl like this.
What do you think? Do you find that here is a benifit to to complaining about money issues....does it make YOU more money? I seriously want to know. Thanks!

complaining never helps, and I think the girls that complain know this, but just don't care.

That's part of the reason they are making shitty money....their apathy and general dislike of the job.

Not only is it annoying, I think it can actually work against you and hurt your earnings. I figure that there are some guys that are going to think, "gee, if she's not making any money, she must not be very good." I know a lawyer that wears expensive suits, watch, etc., even though he's a pretty regular guy. When I asked him why he said, "so people will think that I'm a very successful lawyer." People want to buy goods and services from people that give the appearance that they are successful, that's why real estate agents drive fancy cars. I always try to be upbeat and positive around customers.

Aye and aye, though customers WILL ask you directly how much you've made that night/week - and if you say "so how's your night been?" some will give you an honest answer.

it works with some guys, the pity thing. at least i've seen girls use it to get a string of dances out of guys occasionally. that said, pity sales aren't really something to rely on, as it kind of kills any incentive for repeat business. for me, even if the guy is like 'damn, it's dead in here, did you make any money tonight?', i'm always positive and noncommittal. "i'm doing ok, and it always picks up later. it's so fun!!!" etc, etc. and that tends to fulfill itself. either the guy gets a dance, helping me on my way, and/or it does indeed pick up later and i make enough money for the evening.

but in any case, i've usually found it to be the case that guys who ask that aren't wanting to spend any money on me whether i'm doing well or poorly, as a general rule. there's exceptions, but i use it as a guideline for whether to spend a lot or a little time on them and it works pretty good.

Funny you mention this. I had a mediocre night last night and kept catching myself telling my customers how slow it was. I was bitchin, but I would say, "Yeah, its kinda slow for me....dont know why" blah blah

Thank goodness for this thread....I totally forgot how annoying that could be. lol

Guys can go home to the wife or girlfriend to hear bitching and moaning, they come to SC to get away from reality so to speak. Keep the complaining to the dressing room!
