Default For the MALE dancers out there....

Hey guys,

My roommate is currently unsatisfied with his job, and at the urging of my g/f, has decided he might be interested in male stripping. He's straight but not narrow, but he's still concerned that his male clientelle is more likely to get out of line with grabbing and touching, etc.

Are the male customers at a men's club more likely to push and cross the line than their counterparts at a women's club?

For that matter, now that I think about it, I bet the ladies get pretty aggressive too from time to time....

The difference is night and day IMO.

Guys are TAME when compared to females.

Endy, if you need answers to questions, have you tried asking Chad? I know he is a male dancer. I am sure he will be able to help.

Sorry BigGreenMnM - but I have to disagree. Extreme behaviour crosses both genders, but in my experience, performing for gay crowds is TOTALLY different than shows for women.

He's straight but not narrow, but he's still concerned that his male clientelle is more likely to get out of line with grabbing and touching, etc.
This question, always posed as "a dilemma" for most male strippers wanting to get in the business, always fascinates me. Did you think that you will go to a gay club and the clientelle will sit there with arms folded, hands neatly clasped on their laps, smiling and nodding appreciately yet "respecting" your "straightness" and "behaving" themselves?

As a male stripper you are first and foremost a performer and entertainer. Go read some of the posts from the girls on this site. Do you think they enjoy everyone in their audiences? We all have our boundaries, no matter what our sexuality is, but come on mate, part of what this gig is about is our clientelle getting off on watching us do a show that's gonna get that crowd wet / hard (or both ). Would you like to go to a show for straight guys and get feelings of revulsion from a woman performer because she happens to be lesbian but is doing the show for $ anyway?

If your buddy is concerned that he might be touched by a guy, this is going to come accross in his act, and he will be unsuccessful as a result of that anyway. He should stick to doing shows for ladies only.

I've written a book on male stripping, it's like a how to manual and covers all aspects of the craft, and their is a section on shows for gay audiences. You can PM me if you need to know more. Hope this helps.

Does anyone have tips for male strippers as far as how to dance? Does the slow and sensual rule feamles use still apply?

There really aren't any male strippers in my area to emulate in the area except for male amateur night at the club that I do and I can't see them because I'm back-stage.

I'm about 5'9" and borderline underweight, so my chances of making it as a pro are slim to none. So far I've been getting by with acrobatics and theme costumes.

I'd like to improve my technique as an amateur though as my ATF is coming to next male amateur night.

I think it's about 85% attitude and 15% dancing. I know plenty of male dancers who couldn't find the beat if you hit them over the head with it, but they bank because they walk around with that "I'm sexy, you want me" smile.

Also, slow and sensual is good, shows your sex appeal, but not necessarily exciting. Never underestimate the power of a sweaty(not stinky!) MAN! I guess it would depend on how many songs you get in a set? If it's only 1 you might want to do something that the crowd will remember. And please don't HUMP THE FLOOR!!!!

It's 2 songs. So far, I haven't humpedthe floor, but I have put both legs behind my head on a few occassions. Doesn't seem towork as well as when femaledancers do it for a male audience.
