    Default Trendy Bastards!

Tonight on 6th street, a liquor company was having a promotion at one of the generic nightclubs:

They had their promo girls dressed up in schoolgirl outfits.

They had set up a stripper pole on the stage and all the ladies were invited to "try it out."

In the back, they had Texas Hold 'Em poker tables setup.

Dood, I've been doing that shit for over 6 years, way before it became cool and trendy. Now EVERYONE wants to be a poker playing, short skirt and stilleto wearing stripper!

I decided not to go inside. What, and spoil all the fun that the rookies were having?

    LADIES, HERE'S TO BEING TRENDSETTERS!!!

Funny how it is all good and fine for fun but "do it for a living" (make money doing what they're doing for less or even free sometimes)... oh no.. don't want to actually APPROVE of it hey?

this country (and this world for that matter) is full of pretencious...superfical...sanctamonius...and double minded people (that goes for both genders)...the double standard is a way of life for most...especially when it comes to adult entertainment and entertainers...adult entertainment is cool...the entertainers are skanky whores...

but if the demand wasn't there...the adult entertainment industry wouldn't be so lucrative...or readily available...
Why do some people still have to fight...to get the same opportunities...that are given to others??...

Look out for self...because noone else will...AND
The greatest revenge in the world...is success...

    Reclusivness...is a good thing.

    Right on Topaz.
The adult industry isn't just a little blip on the map, and there is a reason!! Despite what people might say, they want it! And they want it bad!

I've met a few dancers that theorize that's why our business has been declining in the last few years: pop culture saturation.

I'm inclined to agree a bit. All the kids and couples coming into the clubs because they see it on TV, movies and promotions scare away the older guys with money.

Although it must be great for the experienced poker players to have so many green players flooding the ranks!

Only in the opinion of those close-minded idiots of limited intelligence who are willing to express such views without any firsthand knowledge or basis for doing so. While I'm sure I'm "preaching to the choir" here, don't EVER let that BS get to you - it's nothing more than the uninformed opinion of "outsiders" who have no idea what they're talking about.

The flip side of this is that it IS becoming more accepted, and so clubs are getting more and more saturated with newbies who maybe wouldn't have considered it in a more 'moralistic' climate.

I, for one, often think I'd prefer it to be a bit more stigmatized...gives it more value, y'know?

Yeah, I think so too Scarlett. It's like climbing Everest. After a bunch of people (who weren't hardcore climbers) did it, it lost it's mystery.
