    Default Albums of the Moment

Xiu Xiu - Fabulous Muscles (disturbing and beautiful. Takes the tender souls of Morrissey and Ian Curtis and mutilates it with Aphex Twin madness!)

Cocorosie - La Maison de mon Reve (Fragile and Fucked Up. Very David Lynchian... innocent and corrupt at the same time)

Das Oath - s/t (Hardcore you know the score! Brutal and flawlessly mixed)

Can - tago mago (1971) - krautrock german blissed haze still amazing 30 years later. drummer is like a ginsberg rant all over with perfect timing. great backyard summer day in your underwear in the sun partying album.

US Maple - Arce Thrills (2001) awkward yet adept steel picked plucking, thorny time signatures, minor chord blues-rock with a soulful, lazy, drawl-etto, non-sequitor lyrical style (“get your stitches from your brother’s rainbow-bomb and do me a party” – this album have all the thrust of a major rock outfit, just with some DNA missing, which in turn creates more (un)focused thrust; tight work-outs quickly build in anticipation. great album to listen in the ghetto! ha

Jan Jalinek -Kosmischer Pitch (2005) perhaps the leading German click-house/electronica artist, returns with his third album for ~scape. Back in the heyday of Krautrock people often talked of "cosmic music." Bands like Popol Vuh began to experiment with early Moog synthesizers, Holger Czukay's Can aspired to a "plasmatic sound," and the era was awash in sound blurring, flow -- a musical haziness of sorts, perceived as a transcendental moment, with the pioneers of electronic music on a quest for liberation - airy vibrations instead of earthy rock.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless - (1991) Every music listener knows this one the best albums ever.

Tim Hecker - Radio Armor - Warm, deep going laptop knittering and sound spheres you never heard before. saturated, shimmering and blurry; constantly threatening a crescendo yet fills you up right when needed. good in open spaces and white walls. great album to lay on the floor with girl and stare into and out of each other with.
