The one thing that has dramatically reduced the no. of drink offers as well as satisfies those suspicious types for me is... walking around the club with a balloon glass filled with gynger ale.

With the suspicious types.. I tell them it is scotch n dry. When they say they can't taste/smell the scotch.. I tell them its a half nip not a full nip therefore the gynger ale has drowned it as such.

Having the gynger ale served in that glass instead of a tall glass has done wonders for me

If I ever find myself in a club where they don't have those balloon glasses.. I'll BYO one if I have too!

funny, we cant walk around with drinks either. lol

We have to leave the drink (finished or not) when we are done talking to the customer.

    I have one for ya..

Accept the drink.. drink it with small sips and really slowly.. and if they ask.. just say "I'm not a drinker at all really.. so it takes me awhile to drink anything alcoholic". I say this at times when I have to accept an alcoholic drink and they notice the small sips and time lapse between the sips... it's true for me. I'm not a drinker at all these days.. so it does take me quite some time to drink anything alcoholic

Always order something you know you can take small sips of over a long time... for me it is Corona or Stella beer (any type of beer).

I always order beer in a glass and I have the bartender serve me a non alcoholic beer instead. Then with the shots I do the spit in chaser trick. Or I order something like apple pucker, the most I get from that is a sugar buzz.

I've never had this problem since I typically just avoid the few guys I've encountered that really seem to have an issue with me not drinking at work. I'll typically order one just to make the waitress happy, if the guy complains I'll say "Well how about that dance now so I can work up a thirst?" and they usually go for it. I get back, sip a tiny bit, if he doesn't spend more, I'm out. And I leave my drink behind.

I like Bridgette's idea the best though. Regardless of that these guys might think, it's just not sexy to have someone drunk out of their mind, passing out and puking, so if the guy thinks you've already had a few, try to put a subtle picture in his head of the ugly side of getting drunk.

Guys who "like" drunk girls creep me out. Why so partial to inebriated dancers?

do shots. and keep a beer. have the beer empty. when you do the shot use the beer as a chaser and spit the shot into the empty beer they will never know you didnt drink it.

We always had the code names for virgin drinks at my clubs too. If the guy was really suspicious then I'd just have the bartender splash a tiny bit of alcohol around the rim of the glass so that if the guy picked it up and smelled it he would be able to smell the liquor.....but I wouldn't have to drink any of it.

I totally agree that it's creepy to be entertaining guys who insist that I get drunk. It weirds me out. I'm always on my guard with these guys, especially when I go to give them a dance. I don't know why some guys are like this, but it seems to me that maybe they think they will be able to get away with more in the LD or CR if I'm drunk and that's why they insist so strongly that I order an alcoholic drink. ???

I agree with you Kittie I think a lot of guys try to get you alcoholic drinks because they think they will be able to get away with more that way. I live an hour away from where I work so I cannot drink too much but I don't like dancing as much and am not nearly as flirtatious if I do not drink at all. So I have been ordering 2 Arbor mist Peach Chardonnays throughout the evening (spread out). This cheap wine does not have a high alcohol content but it relaxes me just enough. So for me this is the perfect mix.

I've never worked at a club like this...Are you not allowed to order your own drink if someone asks you? I don't see how they could make you drink the liquor especially if you have to drive or don't want to drink...

I rarely sit with anyone long enough to have drink. If I do I just tell them that I have to make my quota before I can start my "partying" and that I'm a little ways off from it. They're usually more than happy to help me out, and then I'm done with them and the drink is a non-issue.

I'm a bitch. I don't like sitting with customers and I definitely don't want to waste precious dance time sitting there drinking because I really will fuck off the whole night if I start up. I'm an alcoholic and it's dangerous for me to tempt fate by drinking anywhere, especially at work.

Personally, I drink at work, but I do not drink an alcoholic drink everytime I am with a customer. It seems like EVERYONE I spend time with wants me to drink drink after drink , and if I had all those drinks with booze in em, I would be in some bad shape.

I know some guys don't like it if you flat out say you don't drink. It's lame but they way I look at it is they are out trying to get drunk and they want a drinking buddy, want to feel like someone is "partying with them too."

    I either:
Order a "redbull on the rocks" which comes out looking like a cocktail

    Order my club's code drink

Say, "Oh honey, I need to slow down for a little bit other wise I am going to be under-the-table! I'll have a redbull for now, thanks." (Even though obviously I am not really under the table or anywhere near it, they're like, yes. I got a drunk one!)

Order a drink and simply ignore it, just take sips out of it or chew on the ice.

Order a drink, then say, "Oh shucks I really wanted oarnge juice instead of cranberry, grab the waitress and tell her what you REALLY want, and sit down." Then if you should get another drink from him while sitting there, just tell the waitress, I will have another one of these...

I had the same problem myself. Always getting too wasted because I'd have drink after drink. So I'll say something like "the only way I can drink is if we go into VIP", it seems to be working

I don't drink at work because I drive. I tell guys, "Thanks, but I am driving tonight and I am not looking for a DUI." If they push the matter, I ask them what difference does it make if I drink or not? They never have an answer.

    I don't drink, I tell customers, it doesn't help/hurt

kinda funny- I was working in a juice bar club in BC and I didn't want to drink pop all night. The customers have to buy you drinks at this club. If you asked for sprite, you got water. A custy ordered my drink ahead of time (to kinda cut to the chase). Anyway, I was on stage and backstage for awhile. He got thirsty and drank it. He had to know it was just water, but he never said anything about it. This was the customer that brought me a bike. If they are really going to spend on you, it shouldn't matter what you are drinking. IMO those customers are not worth the time.

I have to agree with that, but it's all part of some weird ritual.

    1) come to the club
    2) buy a girl a drink alcoholic, like we need to be drunk to give them a dance.
    3) buy yourself a ton of drinks then hit the atm (giggle)
    4) drive home.

I'm shocked at how many guys leave the club drunk and drive.
    It blows my mind sometimes.

Hehehe! I know your type. I just order the same kind of drink you are having, then convince you to drink instead of me, while we're doing dances.

If I drank every alcoholic beverage offered to me, I would have been dead long ago.

Just out of curiosity, what is the appeal of buying dances from a wasted stripper? I'm sure it couldn't be the potential of being vomited on during the dance, or her falling over and kicking you in the head with those shoes, or accidentally kneeing you in the balls?

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

OMG, when I would drink at work, come out of VIP and end up on stage
I'm shocked I didn't fall on my head. I have elbowed a guy in the head once.
Thank goodness that I just don't drink anymore, I could of been sued
by now for breaking some guys nose or worse!

Personally, a drunk dancer doesn't notice roaming hands as often and
guys get away with a lot more than they would with a straight dancer
he's just looking for that extra mile.

One idea to consider -- Most guys offer you drinks to "loosen you up". If you can make it clear that you are open to their (reasonable by the rules of the club) advances while still sober, there is no reason for you to consume excessive alcohol with them. I think most guys
would prefer to have you get freaky with them while you are fully
sober than for you to risk a DUI from later activities....
